Freezing ham

I've frozen sliced, cooked ham successfully. Seal in bag and when taking out of freezer, don't open till thawed, otherwise condensation will make it wet.
Sometimes I dice it up for use in dishes like pasta carbonara or ham and mushroom pie.

Not precisely the same, but I’ve kept cooked gammon in the fridge for a good couple of weeks. Usually in winter though (the C-word gammon).

How about making a pea and ham soup, and freezing that? Or chopped up bits in any vegetable soup, come to that.

Witzend I love pea soup sadly if it’s pea and ham for some reason it tastes really sweet to me can’t abide the taste. 🤢 I’ll have to freeze some anyway as there’s too much to eat it all myself

I do freeze ham but usually cube it rather than slice it

I freeze ham regularly. I roll bought ham slices and open freeze on a tray. That way the pieces stay separate and I can take out just the amount I need and thaw under an upturned bowl. Works fine. I open freeze gammon in slices and do the same. I’ve never had a problem.
