Apart from the usual casserole type dishes I like to use my slow cooker to slow cook a joint of lamb or pork. I make up a spicy rub using whatever I fancy, rub it all over a relatively fatty joint like shoulder and slow cook it for several hours. There's lots of different ways to serve it. Sometimes I make a tzatziki or something with pomegranate seeds or molasses and any leftovers get crisped up in a pan, mixed with a sweet chilli sauce and put on top of a colourful crisp salad.

Thank you for asking this I would like to know as well. I just bought some very nice short ribs from the butcher but don't know what to do with them other than drown them in red wine and garlic.

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to refresh my weekly meal plan and would love to hear what your favorite, reliable crowd-pleasing recipes are—especially slow cooker dishes or simple meals that are easy to prep ahead of time.

Do you have any go-to recipes or tips that always seem to be a hit with family when hosting?

Looking forward to hearing your recommendations!
