We have no palate for commercial cereals now, much prefer proper porridge.

The recipe for Allbran has also been changed and it now tastes like cardboard.

Growing rice takes an enormous amount of water.
I believe one of the EarthShot entries covers this.
There’s a similar problem with the cacao trees which will feed through to a shortage of chocolate.
Rice is a staple food for over 50% of the world’s population.
This is serious.

Not changed in the USA and Canada though.

They say it’s due to changing weather conditions so they are using rice flour instead. CocoPops are similarly affected.

They will no longer be gluten free, nor will Coco Pops.

I understand the reason for the change but am put off buying them in future. Definitely not the same thing.

I had Ready Brek for breakfast in the winter when I was a child. I'm sure you could just mix it with hot water in those days, but it seems not now.

Rice Krispies are no longer made from rice grains so the "snap, crackle and pop" is now quieter. What is the world coming to? This was the sound of my childhood Summer breakfast, we would have Ready Brek in the Winter.
