Is it just me or has the Lindt Easter Bunny changed.

Thought I would have a treat as my dd bought us all a Lindt Easter Bunny to take home after our lovely Easter meal. She has done this before and I have always loved them. This time I wish I hadn’t bothered. The taste was nothing like it used to be. Anyone else noticed the change.

I’ve just eaten one ( mini version) and I’m not impressed, it seems to have a fatty taste.

Apparently Lindt only just qualifies to be classed as chocolate these days.

I had one that tasted sort of stale but may just have been a bit old. Since then, I'm appalled to say I've had three more and they were fine. Tasted like they used to. I'm half way through my fourth. (The family noticed I liked them)

Well Aveline it’s good to hear you enjoyed your Easter holiday. Don’t feel appalled about eating what gave you pleasure. Well done.

Just realised that's 5!!

I am a bit jealous you were bought a little bunny blush I was just bought flowers, which makes me sound ungrateful smile

I bought one myself when they first appeared and were on offer, one for mother's day, two for wedding anniversary and another for Easter. It's amazing how they add up.
I think one was old stock or had been stored incorrectly hence stale taste.

Mine was delicious!
It was dark chocolate though.

I did notice the new milk chocolate ones on the shelf in my corner-shop were wrapped in the WRONG foil!
Grrrr.

It looked like a (think it's calked) hologram plastic film type wrap.
Extra shiny and sort-of faceted.

Not the beautiful fine gold aluminium we are used to.

Aveline Wed 08-Apr-26 11:39:29

Mine were all old style foil.

NotSpaghetti Wed 08-Apr-26 13:36:45

Yes. Mine was too but the ones on the shelf weren't.

I bought Lindt chocolates at Christmas- won' t do that again. Tasted greasy - very disappointing !

What do you recommend for milk chocolate (bars) now? Many now taste greasy and not chocolatey and they are disappointing and expensive. Don't mind paying a bit extra for a treat if it’s tasty.

Aldi's chocolate is nice - the Moser Roth range has some really nice flavours.

Another vote here for Aldi's Moser Roth!

I have enjoyed Lydll’s chocolate.

Perhaps the taste has changed due to the addition of Palm.Oil or some other cheap shitty ingredients..You know the way Cadburys ruined their chocolate.
.

Also rumour has it rumour has it. That the origins Lindt Chocolate Easter Bunny died last year of Chocolate Rabbit myxomatosis.

I have always thought their chocolate tastes waxy😝

I think it's always been overrated. The best part about is the advert! NowBooja Booja, well that's a whole different story 😋

Honestly I don't think ANY chocolate tastes the same anymore, but then that is because it's not. Our daughter lives in Australia and their Cadburys, Lindt etc chocolate is still proper chocolate, made with cocoa and milk whereas here it's all palm oil and god only knows what other rubbish they can get away with putting in it. I am a real chocoholic, but just don't enjoy it as much any more at all, which I suppose isn't a bad thing lol

Apart from just the size?

cornergran Fri 10-Apr-26 21:23:58

We consumed one each this evening - the small ones honest - and both enjoyed them. Now I’m looking forward to the Lindt Easter egg hiding in the spare bedroom wardrobe 🤣.

I’ve had two of the mini ones and they tasted just the same to me.

I used to like Areo chocolate bars but they started to taste chocolate flavoured rather than real chocolate.
Today I bought a bar of chocolate called Bubbly from Lidl which is like an Aero but tastes like it used to, real chocolate.
Can highly recommend. Am afraid it didn’t last the journey home from the supermarket. 😜
