I've just scored 10/10 in a Facebook quiz, identifying which 60's song some excerpts came from. This inspires me to start yet another game thread (sorry), not necessarily using 60s hits.

Name the tune this line comes from (and add a line from another number)

"I could make you mine, taste your lips of wine . . ."

According to wiki it was written by Lynsey de Paul and was the B side of Sugar me but a hit for The Fortunes in the same year.

sal, I want to say Eleanor Rigby but there is another one niggling away that will suddenly make itself known at 3 am just like trying to remember who one of Bananarama was married to, having seen them on the One Show. And, what group was he in with that blond woman who has had a very successful career - and anyway, what's her name. DH confused me by saying she was married to Al Stewart and I got really stuck.

The answers are DAVE Stewart, Eurythmics and Annie Lennox!! And the other one is married (or something) to Andrew Ridgely who was in Wham with what's'is name!! grin
