I've just scored 10/10 in a Facebook quiz, identifying which 60's song some excerpts came from. This inspires me to start yet another game thread (sorry), not necessarily using 60s hits.

Name the tune this line comes from (and add a line from another number)

"I could make you mine, taste your lips of wine . . ."

shysal are you sure? If you want to buy me flowers.....
I thought it was Two Princes ( can't remember the name of the band though) but can hear the lyrics in my head grinNo doubt FarNorth will tell us.moon

FarNorth Sat 29-Apr-17 22:56:11

That's it, roses. Spin doctors

shysal Sun 30-Apr-17 05:06:23

Oops! Only read last line. Back to

Somebody turn on the lights.

Bbnan Sun 30-Apr-17 17:41:01

Is it dancing on the ceiling?

My last one ...early in the morning as you wake up....has not been answered correctly yet!

rosesarered Sun 30-Apr-17 19:04:40

I can't guess either!

Ana Sun 30-Apr-17 19:51:37

Come on, we're going to have to get back to giving the answer and supplying another clue, otherwise it's just going to get messy (as it is now!)

Bbnan Sun 30-Apr-17 19:54:32

Do I give the answer so we can move on?

Cherrytree59 Sun 30-Apr-17 21:45:27

Bbnan is it
Early in the morning when I wake up
Early in the morning when I wake up
I brush my teeth and eat my bread
I drink my coffee and go back to bed
Early in the morning
Early in the morning

Bbnan Sun 30-Apr-17 22:57:34

No sorry....
It is:.....early in the morning as you wake up........

Bbnan Mon 01-May-17 06:38:39

Correction.....it is......early in the morning when you wake up....apologies

I would walk ten thousand miles. By those Scottish twins. Told you my memory is shot! Proclaimers!!

kittylester Mon 01-May-17 10:49:09

Know when to walk away.

Ana Mon 01-May-17 10:52:04

Sorry, but isn't the line in the Proclaimers' song 'When I wake up'....?

rosesarered Mon 01-May-17 15:04:58

kitty is that The Gambler? Know when to walk away, and when to run.

shysal Mon 01-May-17 15:39:58

Resorted to Google for the 'wake up' line. Nothing there with that exact wording.
Shall we move on until Bb tells us the answer?

So near yet so far away.

kittylester Mon 01-May-17 15:58:00

Yes roses.

I'm nearly there with sals, I can sing it to the title and then it mores into 'and I would walk 10,000 miles' angry

Jalima1108 Mon 01-May-17 15:59:59

shysal

I know this one, just a minute,

I long for your lips
to touch my lips
and just when
I think they may

Oh - Halfway to Paradise?

Jalima1108 Mon 01-May-17 16:00:28

Billy Fury

Jalima1108 Mon 01-May-17 16:02:35

And if I live a thousand years
The thought that we're apart

Cherrytree59 Mon 01-May-17 18:55:18

Time. Craig Douglas? Would fill my eyes with tears

Cherrytree59 Mon 01-May-17 19:11:00

If I'm right
'Catch a bright star and wear it on your forehead'

Jalima1108 Mon 01-May-17 21:01:42

Yes, you're right

now, I know Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket because my DM used to play that all the time (by Perry Como). But I don't think that's right

Ana Mon 01-May-17 21:08:10

I can't make head or tail of this thread any more! confused

rosesarered Mon 01-May-17 21:19:10

Nope, don't know that one Ana grin

Maggiemaybe Mon 01-May-17 22:51:19

Wrong star, Jalima. It's Ride a White Swan, T-Rex.

When I saw my child in prayer.
