I think we stumbled upon this place in Wales a few years ago.

Llanfairpwyllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwlllantysiliogogagoch............Is that right Annie or have I missed the odd "l" out ? Anyway I wouldn't attempt trying to pronounce it either after a few drinks or if your teeth are not firmly in place grin

nina "Sandy Balls" in the New Forest. It's actually a holiday village/camp site, we stayed there with our children when they were little and friends and their children who had discovered it and stayed there before. Yes grin we couldn't believe the name either.

Flash, in the Peak District. The highest village in Great Britain - a claim that may have been disputed recently.

TerriBull Tue 11-Jun-19 11:15:54

Pratt's Bottom and Sandy Balls already been mentioned damn! I've been to both grin

Well I'm just going to have to wander over to France then and mention "Condom"

LOL - and sometimes it is only funny to some people, and not to others who just can't see why?

Like the people of the village near Bern called 'Wankdorf' - but as we drove past in the ski trip bus, my students always spotted it, for sure.

In Kent there is a signpost which points to a small hamlet and a nearby town. It reads

HAM 1/2
SANDWICH 3

Willow10 Tue 11-Jun-19 10:45:00

Great post for a wet Tuesday morning. When I was looking for a house, the estate agent wanted to show me one in Titty Ho. I could not face the thought of saying that every time I was asked for my address. Who on earth comes up with these names - what were they thinking? confusedgrin

RobtheFox Tue 11-Jun-19 10:39:21
