Not all Flamingos are pink, Blue Flamingos are found in south America and Galapagos islands

Flamingos can live between 40 and 60 years depending upon the species.

You know it's for your own good, I'm only trying to help, Chewy. wink

I await your new nugget, with great anticipation grin

Chewy, bananas are, botanically, berries and the 'tree' is a herbaceous plant. And strawberries are not fruits as their seeds are on the outside. Strawberry plants are related to the rose family.

Chewbacca Sun 22-Sept-19 19:25:23

You always have to best me at everything don't you Marydoll !

Right, just wait there. ..... I'll be back with an even better nugget!

Marydoll Sun 22-Sept-19 19:19:55

I raise my hat to you Chewy. Having made the dinner, I did a bit of my own research and I'm pleased to authenticate your fact! wink

The present Queen is a very distant relative of Vlad, but not a direct descendent.
Her grandmother, the former Princess Mary of Tek, was the great grandaughter of a distant relative of Vlad's sons (eight generations back) .....I think.
Another hidden talent you were unaware I had. grin wink

Chewbacca Sun 22-Sept-19 19:03:08

I'll match your peanuts annodomini and raise you with .. . Tomatoes aren't vegetables . They are a false fruit known as a drupe. been waiting 52 years to repeat that little nugget

annodomini Sun 22-Sept-19 19:00:22

I tested that sneezing with eyes open/closed thing because I sneeze most mornings and I can definitely sneeze with my eyes open.

There are no words, in the English language, that rhymes with orange.

Both DH and I were told not to eat grapefruit by the diabetes nurse.
I don't really know why have never queried it as I don't like it anyway.

Sussexborn Sun 22-Sept-19 00:34:17

Very conflicting advice when googled. Some saying grapefruit is fine and a few saying not to eat it.

Don't drink grapefruit juice if you're taking any of these medications, unless advised to by your doctor: Some statins (cholesterol-lowering drugs): lovastatin (Mevacor), atorvastatin (Lipitor), simvastatin (Zocor, Vytorin).24 Oct 2017

I know grapefruit can react with antidepressants but haven’t heard about diabetics not being able to eat it.
