Grapefruit contains something that interferes with certain medications - but if you are not taking those medications it won't harm you. If you are, grapefruit will be mentioned when it is prescribed.

I once saw a rainbow on the ground, - a grassy field. Never seen another one since.
It puzzles me that Yorkshire pudding rises better when made with plain flour rather than self-raising.
I was told by the nurse at the surgery never to eat grapefruit nor drink grapefruit juice.. I have never known why.

Prisoner in USA on a life sentence claimed he should be released as he said that technically he had died due to kidney stone complications in hospital .After passing away and being resuscitated he believed he deserved a second chance and was a different person.
Strange but true.

Christopher Columbus’s father was said to be the current Pope of that time.

I think I remember that the spiders were very confused, and spun most disorganised webs.

BradfordLass72 Mon 07-Oct-19 02:57:34

Courtesy of Luka, my grandson.

In 1973 NASA sent two spiders into space to see how they spun their webs in zero gravity.

"Twelve plus one " is an anagram of "eleven plus two".
They both add up to thirteen.

I put this on the other thread, not having seen this one

Dawn22 Fri 27-Sep-19 09:02:26

Antarctica is the only continent without reptiles or snakes.

There are more technological advances contained in our current smart phones than there was then available to bring the first men to the moon 50 years ago.

I've seen a full circle rainbow, twice. On Snowdonia and once in a highrise flat. You have to be high up...

Elegran Mon 23-Sep-19 09:19:32

There is one place that you can put your right hand where your left hand can't reach it.

On your left elbow. (since we are talking about inaccesible elbows)

Oopsminty Mon 23-Sep-19 08:48:46

No idea why the word 'today' is in my message. I think I meant to say 'that'!

Oopsminty Mon 23-Sep-19 08:47:26

Ha! My youngest daughter can, lick her elbow! And I have filmed evidence. We were discussing it at work. Nobody believed that my child could do this so I had to film her. We only found out today she could do this due to it being a 'fact' that you can't

BradfordLass72 Mon 23-Sep-19 08:43:12

Why would anyone want to lick their elbow? YUK!

There are penguins which live in the desert.

Circular rainbows? sad

Dawn22 Mon 23-Sep-19 07:46:10

Littleannie. Interesting one. Yes l naturally tried it and yes you are right you cannot lick your elbow.

Dawn22 Mon 23-Sep-19 07:42:05

I heard on the news that a seagull swooped in and stole a chihuahua from a back garden this summer just gone.

Poor Chihuahua. Mind your small dogs.

Anniebach Sun 22-Sep-19 22:34:19

It the rainbow is a full circle there can’t be a rainbows end ?
crazyH

Littleannie Sun 22-Sep-19 22:30:05

90 per cent of people who read the above try it.

Littleannie Sun 22-Sep-19 22:29:34

It is physically impossible to lick your own elbow.

crazyH Sun 22-Sep-19 22:11:43

Me too - I have seen a ? twice in the last 3 months - waiting for the third.

Anniebach Sun 22-Sep-19 22:04:06

I don’t want the rainbow to be part of a full circle ? I want
?

In 1945, a flock of birds landed on the minute hand of Big Ben and put the time back by 5 minutes.
