As far as I know, AEIOU are the vowels.

Well, you never stop learning! All my life I had thought "Y" was a consonant but, before writing anything on this post, I thought I'd check the situation.

Apparently, it is both a vowel and a consonant - known as a semi-vowel.

Are we going to treat it as a consonant on this thread?
