Isn't it odd that there seems to be only two, wildly different, answers for the first puzzle. I think it's 96, but I'm damned if I can even work out how people are arriving at 40! I would love to know! (but please don't put it on here, because it may be the right answer and we're not meant to give spoilers wink)
