Hello Everyone! ?
Lovely new Spring thread!?️?️???

What is your chocolate treat of choice??

henetha Sat 08-May-21 13:22:45

I have to say Wiggy as she would be very upset if I didn't.
Apart from her, I think owls are magnificent. But it's hard to choose.

Do you play a musical instrument and if so which one?

Mollygo Sat 08-May-21 13:22:46

Goldfinch-they’re so pretty.
Actually it’s starlings. They entertain me endlessly on our bird feeders.

Would you/do you have a wood burner?

nanna8 Sat 08-May-21 13:40:36

Yes we do. I love it.

What’s your favourite tipple ( probably had this so please forgive me, couldn’t think of anything)?

MerylStreep Sat 08-May-21 13:44:49

G&T or Cointreau.
This could be contentious.
Do you think your good at something when your actually not ?

FannyCornforth Sat 08-May-21 14:03:44

Wow! What a brilliant question Meryl!
I'm going to have a think; I'm sure that there is.

If anyone is sufficiently self-aware to answer Meryl's question - please go ahead!smile

Puzzler61 Sat 08-May-21 14:19:40

Singing! Even the cat screws her face and ears up when I sing.
I like to think of myself as a bit of a Barbra Streisand ?

Have you got, or do you want, a tattoo?

FannyCornforth Sat 08-May-21 14:28:03

Yes! I had one done on my hip on a school trip to Paris when I was fourteen.
I got into a lot of trouble!

What is your favourite musical?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 08-May-21 14:33:48

I love The Sound of Music, it has the right amount of sentiment.

Do/did you celebrate wedding anniversaries?

MerylStreep Sat 08-May-21 14:43:23

Fanny
Sorry to interrupt the thread but I wanted to explain.
My daughter and I were gardening together yesterday and belting out some George Micheal.
I said to her ^christ your crap ?) she disagreed. She’s wrong ?
As you were.

NotAGran55 Sat 08-May-21 15:11:25

No anniversary celebrations here . No presents either for birthdays .

Are you good at spelling and grammar?

Puzzler61 Sat 08-May-21 15:32:02

Spelling, Yes. Grammar, not sure. There wasn’t much emphasis put on it at my Secondary Modern School. But I get by.

Did you travel on the School Bus?

Shinamae Sat 08-May-21 17:57:08

Yes from Woolacombe to Ilfracombe secondary school

Are you academic?

FannyCornforth Sat 08-May-21 18:12:11

Yes, I'm not sure what that means, but I more than likely am.
I heard someone describe themselves as 'mixed class'.
That's definitely me.

DanniRae Sat 08-May-21 18:12:24

No but I consider myself to be quite bright ......... I hope those that know me would agree smile

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Mollygo Sat 08-May-21 18:47:24

A nurse. Nursing and teaching were the only jobs suggested at careers training.
I swapped my job for work in IT quite late on.

Have you ever been to Lands End or John O’Groats?

MerylStreep Sat 08-May-21 18:53:41

Both. We took a helicopter ride to the Isle of Scilly. I don’t know if they still do it. It was over 40 yrs ago.

Do you prefer small/ large ship cruising?

NotAGran55 Sat 08-May-21 19:05:43

Neither. I once did a flotilla holiday around the Dalmatian Islands and was sick as a dog on several occasions. No cruise ships for me .

Have you ever been in a glider ? I have ... and that’s another story.

hollysteers Sun 09-May-21 00:07:14

A jigsaw when I was 10 and last year gin and books on GN.

Do you do crosswords, sudoku etc?

nanna8 Sun 09-May-21 06:29:22

Oh yes, always the crosswords, sometimes the sudokus.

Do you like fairy lights all over the place ?I had them at Christmas and they are so nice I have left them up. Just plain white ones though.

FannyCornforth Sun 09-May-21 07:20:16

Yes. I love fairy lights. I've got them round a mirror in my bedroom and some bronze leaf ones round a picture in the living room. And some tiny ones on a large orchid!

What is your favourite rubbishy TV?
Mine is Four in a Bed.
I'm also getting into a New Life in the Sun, which is a bit like TOWIE for older people.

NotAGran55 Sun 09-May-21 07:23:31

Come Dine With Me is my favourite. People watching , cooking and nosying around houses!

Have you ever been to The Ideal Home Exhibition?

FannyCornforth Sun 09-May-21 07:34:47

I like Come Dine too, but it's not as good as it was. The early series' were brilliant. I remember an old fella who was cooking crepes a l'orange. He didn't have any Cointreau so used Blue Caraco (sp?) instead.

I have not been to the Ideal Home - buy I have been to the Clothes Show Live, which you mentioned on another thread this morning!

What is your favourite perfume?

NotAGran55 Sun 09-May-21 07:54:52

Tom Ford Oud Wood is my favourite, with Aesop Marrakech a close second .

Do you prefer a bath or a shower ?
