How can it be almost Friday again?

Wondering if I should build a nuclear shelter in my garden....

The last plastering on our extension is done. We're getting there, bit by bit!

There’s a hurricane blowing, the rain is horizontal, it’s freezing cold, and I’ve got to go out and do the school run. Dragging the little one with me.

The rain showers are making the lawn lush with long blades of grass. I can almost see it growing by the hour!

I've been to the hairdressers! First time since January 2020

I have a little serving dish with a wooden base and three china dishes. One of the dishes has a snip in it. I dropped the whole thing on the floor the other day. The only dish that didn't break was the one with the snip in it. Why??

Mini chainsaw has turned out to be a bit of a problem. I think I'll have to send it back.

Surprise early morning visit (9.30 is early for me) visit from grandson. He had dropped his sister off at school and called in here for breakfast......

I've got up to the heel part of my 10th pair of socks and I've got to stop and do something else.

I'm unpacking my summer t-shirts etc. but the weather is so miserable I might as well not bother.

Just discovered I don’t like bitter lemon.

Why is it that every dress/top I like have to be sleeveless, when I’ve decided I can’t wear sleeveless any longer?

Why did I buy more blue jeans yesterday? I really wanted the bright mustard coloured ones (but not sure I’d be brave and wear them).

The big screen in the suite didn’t work in computing today, so I told the children they were going back in time to when I only had a 17” monitor to teach with, so they’d have to really focus on the small monitor. They did really well considering, but they wanted to talk about a time without computers. Some of them just couldn’t picture it at all. ??

My new tablet is allegedly going to be delivered tomorrow. Supposed to have come yesterday. Not happy with DPD.

Yesterday I had a visitor who brought me a bunch of freesias. They smell divine. I think the unscented variety are disappointing.

Completed online passport application. Phew!

Daughter is moving again

I do love a Swizzels lolly or two. Or maybe three while there’s nobody here to see.

Why don’t freesia flowers smell like they used to?

I have bought myself some new shoes today. They are yellow. Now I'll have to find something to wear them with.

I've collected my prescription this morning. Such a relief it was waiting for me at the chemist's as the first prescription from the consultant was lost by the GP surgery.

Is that black cloud coming this way going to rain on me or not?
