My coffee is cold

My two year old granddaughter is in bed singing her head off, a lovely medley of nursery rhymes, I think she’s trying to attract our attention.

All day I've been telling myself I need to go for a walk, but it's been very windy, and now it's late, and I haven't had a walk.
Maybe an early night would be a better idea.

There’s an old man walking up and down the roof then kneeling at the edge fixing the trim of the house opposite.
I wish I had his confidence.

Hurrah! We went OUT for lunch!

I bought a pair of cargo trousers today for my summer walks.

So many different teas available in the supermarket today. Most of them flavoured though and a very slimmed down choice of black teas available. All I want is a decent cup of black tea! Is it too much to ask for an ordinary, strong, good quality, "run of the mill" tea these days?

Why does the sun shine all morning then as soon as we go out in the back garden for lunch the clouds arrive, and today the rain as well ☹️

Thank goodness, in spite of my back being a pig today, I've managed to plant the lobelias and bidens, and then the sweet peas, Three cheers!

We have thunder and lightning here and my dog is going crazy.

I have been clearing pesky Ivy from the fence and on nearby plants. It’s just a pity any climbing plants I put in don’t do so well.

I’ve been up since 6 and nearly finished 2 lots of marking. Should I go back to bed?

sunshine yesterday raining today.

For reasons best known to myself (possibly complete madness!!) I have decided to strip the paint off all of the stairs(treads, risers, banisters, spindles) A 3-storey Victorian house, loads of stairs and ornate spindles! Wish me luck.

It's cold and dull and now it's raining... again!!

A kind neighbour has just given me some primroses from his garden.

I got a free box of chocs and a packet of Belgian choc biscuits from my Sparks points at M&S. How do they know I'm on a strict diet. Not fair.
