On another thread, (about hijacking threads, if you want to find it) this was suggested as a potential thread title - each post to have nothing whatever to do with the previous one I though that a very good idea, but no-one seems to have taken it up and started one, so here goes. Not a conversation, no sequencing, totally non sequiturs.

Supermarket potatoes are sprouting faster than I can cook and eat them!

Our winters seem to get longer each year I hate the damp and wet weather.

I've only recently discovered Nutella. Isn't it gorgeous. Now I must find a way of not eating it all at once. Will power, please!

I got a free box of chocs and a packet of Belgian choc biscuits from my Sparks points at M&S. How do they know I'm on a strict diet. Not fair. angry

For reasons best known to myself (possibly complete madness!!) I have decided to strip the paint off all of the stairs(treads, risers, banisters, spindles) A 3-storey Victorian house, loads of stairs and ornate spindles! Wish me luck.

I have been clearing pesky Ivy from the fence and on nearby plants. It’s just a pity any climbing plants I put in don’t do so well.

Amberone Wed 05-May-21 15:36:37

Why does the sun shine all morning then as soon as we go out in the back garden for lunch the clouds arrive, and today the rain as well ☹️

CherryCezzy Wed 05-May-21 15:34:42

So many different teas available in the supermarket today. Most of them flavoured though and a very slimmed down choice of black teas available. All I want is a decent cup of black tea! Is it too much to ask for an ordinary, strong, good quality, "run of the mill" tea these days?

Shinamae Wed 05-May-21 14:58:52

I’ve just ate two trifles…… Small ones!....??

Parsley3 Wed 05-May-21 14:54:36

Mollygo Wed 05-May-21 10:19:07

There’s an old man walking up and down the roof then kneeling at the edge fixing the trim of the house opposite.
I wish I had his confidence.

All day I've been telling myself I need to go for a walk, but it's been very windy, and now it's late, and I haven't had a walk.
Maybe an early night would be a better idea.

My two year old granddaughter is in bed singing her head off, a lovely medley of nursery rhymes, I think she’s trying to attract our attention.
