I took my car to the car wash. Looks great. Should have done it years ago - it's been years since it was last cleaned.

We’re having asparagus for dinner tonight. I love asparagus season running from St. George’s day to midsummer day!

I am sitting in my garden watching a skinny, little, mother starling feeding two very noisy fat babies. The poor thing is being rushed off her feet.

I've just remembered I forgot to put the washing on.
I must go and do it now. Rain is forecast tomorrow.

I went out with new friends for dinner on Saturday; after an hour’s mannequin parade trying to decide what to wear, I felt so uncomfortable that I wore same old, same old which I’ve been wearing during lockdown. Pathetic when I have a choice from 2 wardrobes ? (although like Juliet’s most of them have considerably shrunk in the past year?)

I’ve just seen a squirrel run up a tree in the garden, walk along the bar where the bird feeders are hanging and attack the nuts.

NB. for anyone unfamiliar with cricket the maiden was not a young female.

My son bowled a double wicket maiden over on Sunday. I've not mentioned it to anyone in RL because it looks like I'm bragging.

I am driving myself crazy because I really want to grow my fringe out - I have had to keep cutting it because I can't stand it when it gets to a certain length (Claudia Winkleman's drives me mad too!) However, whatever I do to keep it out of eyes - headband, hair grips, slides - looks awful. I keep saying "Well when you get to a certain age comfort is more important than vanity" but then I catch sight of myself in the mirror or, worse still, see a photo of myself (we have a new granddaughter so lots of pics of nana with the baby) and I want to cry I look so awful! What am I to do? Due to have my roots done so I think I will give in to vanity and get her to cut my fringe!!

Clothes all washed and dried, put the ironing board and iron out last Thursday morning, it’s Monday evening now, still looking at the pile.

Completely coincidentally with a previous post, I learned Negus today.

Negus is a drink made of wine, often port, mixed with hot water, oranges or lemons, spices and sugar.

I seem to have lost the knack of knowing what to wear. Jeans or dress for a cool house on a warm day? I’ll decide tomorrow, before we set off.

I’ve eaten 1 bar of a 2 bar Twirl. Mmmm ..... can I resist the other bar ??

Glad I wasn't aware of the Kent Garden show over this weekend, I would have been tempted.
Traffic in the area is apparently horrendous.

We’re meeting the family at St Ives today. I’m not sure why I felt the need to clarify on our WhatsApp group that it’s the Yorkshire one. I doubt any of them would have set off to drive 400 miles to Cornwall for the afternoon.
