Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

Mollygo Sun 08-Aug-21 04:56:43

Oh yes, just the same as yours, or the clothes maiden made a wonderful tent. Or sheets thrown over the washing line then resting on chairs.

Footballers change clubs for enormous prices. What skill do you have that would make you really valuable? (Real or imaginary)

biglouis Sat 07-Aug-21 22:19:34

No Im staying in because Im expecting an important package. Should have come today but Parcel Farce mucked it up and offered me sunday as a recompense.

Did you ever build "dens" as a kid?

I used to get 4 dining chairs back to back in pairs and throw sheets or blankets over them to make a tent.

crazyH Sat 07-Aug-21 19:57:04

Question:
Are you having family over for Sunday Lunch tomorrow or going out somewhere ?

crazyH Sat 07-Aug-21 19:55:00

We have 3 recycling bags, one for cardboard, one for plastic and foil, and the third for newspapers. We also have one solid black box for glass bottles etc. And then there’s one food waste bin. So you see, we’ve got our work out ?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 07-Aug-21 12:49:23

I read The Day of the Jackal by Frederick Forsyth which kept me guessing until the end, not a new title but I hadn't seen the film either.

How many rubbish/recycling bins must you use?

hollysteers Sat 07-Aug-21 12:01:21

I don’t mind going out in the rain except when I have done my hair and dressed up to go out.

What is the best book you have read this year? (Mine was The Priory, Dorothy Whipple)

henetha Sat 07-Aug-21 10:33:02

Yes, definitely. I can't stand people calling unexpectedly, - unless it's one of my sons.

It's raining today but I have to go out. Do you like going out in the rain?

Germanshepherdsmum Sat 07-Aug-21 09:50:57

No, I hate unexpected visitors or anything that disturbs my routine.

Did anyone else enjoy lockdown for precisely that reason?

biglouis Sat 07-Aug-21 09:27:38

So long ago I cant remember! I am often up late but only at home.

Do you enjoy having unexpected visitors?

I hate anything which disturbs my routine.

Lollin Sat 07-Aug-21 01:33:46

Yes but of course I knew it was just to get me to go to sleep!

When was the last time you returned home in the wee small hours?

Mollygo Sat 07-Aug-21 01:13:58

On a good night, lights out is when I drop my Kindle or just fall asleep-usually about 11.30. On a different night, it can be any time at all.
Not bothered except in work days.

When you were a child, were you told that reading in bed would harm your eyes?

crazyH Sat 07-Aug-21 00:52:53

I live alone, so I can please myself - being Friday I picked up some calamari and a couscous salad from Tesco.

If you’re reading this, you’re obviously awake- so what time is ‘lights off’?

Mollygo Fri 06-Aug-21 20:48:23

I don’t relate to any TV family and I do have one. My DD thought the Royle Family were hilarious, but when I asked if she thought our family was like that, she laughed and said, “Only when we ask what’s for dinner?”

We were really organised about meals last year, but this summer I’d rather choose on the day.
Do you have a set menu or just wing it?

FannyCornforth Fri 06-Aug-21 19:15:34

Ah, that painting reminds me of my best friend, whose mom had the print in her dining room.

I don’t relate to any family. I honestly don’t have one.

Platypus Fri 06-Aug-21 15:28:09

“Luncheon of the Boating Party” by Renoir and also “Bailed Up” by Tom Roberts - I can’t choose

What TV family most reminds you of your own?

BBbevan Fri 06-Aug-21 15:02:13

Rodin’s statue of Balzac.

Do you have a favourite painting. And I mean fine art, not wall art ?

FannyCornforth Fri 06-Aug-21 13:06:11

I’d love a whimsical breakfast too! It sounds like it involves mice and bunny rabbits!

Biggest fear: grief, insanity, all metaphysical psychological type stuff.
I’m also scared of being trapped in a crowd, or being unable to escape from places

Do you have a favourite statue or piece of public art?

biglouis Fri 06-Aug-21 12:20:47

Invested money in Bitcoin. I was lucky to get in near the beginning and am sorry I didnt invest more.

What is your biggest fear?

I am not good with heights but strangely I have never been scared of flying. Ive also developed a horror of crowds as Ive got older. Never been scared of rats, spiders or snakes.

DanniRae Fri 06-Aug-21 09:30:22

I wish I could say that I have a 'whimsical' breakfast because that sounds like fun.........but no I have bog standard cereal or toast (sometimes both! - That's as crazy as it gets at 'Chez Rae')
smile

What's the craziest thing you have ever done?

Kim19 Fri 06-Aug-21 08:59:51

Rats unnerve me.

Do you have a routine or whimsical breakfast ?

FannyCornforth Fri 06-Aug-21 08:51:08

Pick it up (with a tissue) and take it outside before the cat and the dog ‘play’ with it

Are you scared of any creatures?
(Molly thank you for your pm yesterday smile)

Mollygo Fri 06-Aug-21 08:47:18

Crispy duck with pancakes, mmmmmm.
I like Chicken Pasanda or Moules Marinières when we’re in France.

A big, hairy spider is advancing across the floor. What do you do?

biglouis Thu 05-Aug-21 20:50:23

Im in my 70s so old age has already snuck up on me! I worry about declining health and losing my independence. Id rather kill myself then go into a care home.

Whats your favorite foreign food? I love Chinese particularly crispy duck with pancakes.

crazyH Thu 05-Aug-21 15:26:57

Used to be an extrovert, but life’s experiences have made me an introvert, although, it only takes 2 glasses of wine to bring back the extrovert in me.

Do you worry about impending old age and all that goes with it?

Platypus Thu 05-Aug-21 14:41:36

Mine is a beef pho or a bahn mi.

Would you say you’re more of an extrovert or an introvert and why?

I am more of an introvert as I am usually a square peg in a round hole in most situations, even if I try not to be, that’s where I end up and I’m alright with that now.
