Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

biglouis Tue 27-Jul-21 12:46:52

Yes - not getting involved with random people Im not interested in. Tell my neighbours "Sorry I dont have my hearing aid in" and closing the dooror walking off. Not a lie as I dont wear one! You can be selectively short sighted, deaf and gaga at my age. Works a treat.

Have you ever had a disagreement with a neighbour?

Ive had some roasters with CF neighbours. Thats why I now avoid them when at all possible.

hollysteers Mon 26-Jul-21 19:29:15

If I had a windfall, I would help my daughter buy a house outright.

On what occasion do you lie? (Getting out of meet ups I don’t fancy for me)

BBbevan Mon 26-Jul-21 16:42:23

? ninathenana

ninathenana Mon 26-Jul-21 16:19:53

I would pay for DD to have the operation she's desperate for.
Depending on the amount I would pay for a friends daughter to have the operation she needs too

crazyH Mon 26-Jul-21 15:36:42

If you had a windfall, how would you spend it ?

crazyH Mon 26-Jul-21 15:36:04

My brother left me some money in his Will…….wasn’t a lot, but the fact that he thought of me was enough to realise how special I was to him. So did my sister. I am the youngest of 9 and am the only one left ?

biglouis Mon 26-Jul-21 15:27:28

I am friendly with my first cousins but not the more remote ones as I seldom see them.

Have you ever been left money or property in a will?

I was left the contents of my grandmothers house in my late twenties and several thousand pounds - which was a lot of money back then. I invested it.

henetha Mon 26-Jul-21 14:04:05

I know a couple of people who are rich, but not famous.

Have you got cousins that you are friendly with?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 26-Jul-21 13:26:35

I had a best friend at school and at a past job but sadly we've lost touch. I'm a bit of a loner and don't really need people desperately ifswim.

Do you know anyone who's rich or famous?

ninathenana Sun 25-Jul-21 17:44:38

Yes, I like cats. We've had a few, current one is all black. I like dogs too.

Do you have a "best" friend ?

biglouis Sun 25-Jul-21 14:08:08

I live in the suburbs of a large city so the roads are in fairly good condition.

Do you like cats?

I did not particularly like them until my nephew got a ginger kitten and I watched him grow up (the kitten not the nephew). He is a beautiful and intelligent creature who learns very quickly. Not tempted to get one myself though.

Mollygo Sun 25-Jul-21 09:43:30

FC I do hope not! Here some minor procedures I know of seem to be going ahead-removal of a mole, colonoscopy and laser eye treatment, but I don’t know about elsewhere. Fingers crossed for you. Will you be OK for a while if it is cancelled?

They are finally resurfacing one stretch of potholes near us. How are the roads near you?

FannyCornforth Sun 25-Jul-21 08:43:07

That’s tricky
It doesn’t really apply to anything in my life,
I’ve not longed for much tbh!

I’ve got a minor op on the 9th August.
Do you think that it might be cancelled / postponed?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 25-Jul-21 08:34:31

My eyes.

What did you long for, then got whatever it was and found that it wasn't what it was cracked up to be?

crazyH Sat 24-Jul-21 23:46:56

My nose……wish it was smaller and sharper

What’s your best feature?

hollysteers Sat 24-Jul-21 23:34:20

Summer (but not a heatwave). I find working out what to wear much simpler.

What do you dislike most about your appearance?

biglouis Sat 24-Jul-21 21:40:00

I cant think of anyone political I would vote for offhand. Maybe someone like Alan Sugar or Richard Branson. I admire self made people.

I would prefer the monarchy to continue but in an updated way with far less hangers on!

Which is your favorite season of the year and why.

FannyCornforth Sat 24-Jul-21 17:37:15

Erm, a bit.
I don’t know much about it.
I’m interested in seeing what they say

Who would you like as an elected head of state?

Grany Sat 24-Jul-21 17:18:47

I got moonpig beautifulselection pink and white flowetprs and roses and lots tiny white flowers.

Will you be interested to see where the first 12 billboards about monarchy are located this Monday? smile

Mollygo Sat 24-Jul-21 17:12:10

How long do you find Alstromeria last when you get a bouquet delivered. They are so beautiful.

Mollygo Sat 24-Jul-21 17:10:44

I’d like a home like the one I own, not quite in the country and not too far from a small town. I’d love to have more land so I could have a shepherd’s cot in the grounds where my family who live a long way away could stay when they come to visit.
I’d really love a balcony outside our bedroom where I could sit and gaze out over the fields to the distant sea. We actually considered that once, but life got in the way.

biglouis Sat 24-Jul-21 16:10:21

The answer is no because I dont like being surrounded by large crowds. The only similar things Ive been to were pop concerts back in the 1960s and everyone sat in their seats.

If you could live in any kind of home (no expense spared) what would it be?

I would like to buy an island so there were no neighbours but have my own delivery/internet service. Failing that a large detached house in the middle of no-where.

FannyCornforth Sat 24-Jul-21 11:33:50

I love Just William too, especially read by Martin Jarvis

No, not at all, I find it exhilarating! Well, I used to, but I’m not so keen now as my little dog is absolutely terrified of it.

Have you ever been to Glastonbury, or anything similar?

henetha Sat 24-Jul-21 10:59:24

Sorry.......

Are you frightened of thunder and lighting?

henetha Sat 24-Jul-21 10:58:40

Peter Pan was my favourite for many years, and then Little Women when I was older. I also loved the Just William books.
But for many years I read and loved all Enid Blyton books and had a special bookcase to keep them in. I still have the bookcase.
