Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

hollysteers Sat 26-Jun-21 19:57:48

I used to have acrylic nails before lockdown, partly as I have a terrible picking habit and end up with plasters round my fingers. The acrylic nails meant I couldn’t pick. My daughter has inherited the bad habit from me and her fingers can end up in a terrible state. I told her she should have acrylic nails on the NHS! I have my own nails now and am trying to leave my fingers alone…

Do you have a favourite county in England?

BBbevan Sat 26-Jun-21 18:47:10

I used to henna my hair when I was younger but have never had it professionally done.

On the same theme. Do you get your nails done ? I don’t

grandMattie Sat 26-Jun-21 17:41:32

Yes, a set of nail clippers!

Have you ever had your hair coloured?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 26-Jun-21 15:37:26

Touch wood, I've never had a dispute with a neighbour - we may have 'chuntered' to ourselves about something or other but nothing major.

Have you ever won anything in a Christmas cracker which was useful?

biglouis Sat 26-Jun-21 12:52:35

All the time - it goes with the territory because I deal in antiques. But I do think it was a much simpler and nicer world although we did not have so many comforts. None of this BLM and woke nonsense.

Have you ever had a dispute with a neighbour? Mine are vile. I have recently sent them a Cease and Desist ordering them not to call at my home and threatening them with legal action.

henetha Sat 26-Jun-21 11:59:16

Yes. Secrets have been a big part of my life. I myself was a secret.

Do you find yourself thinking more about the past as you grow older?

DanniRae Sat 26-Jun-21 11:44:56

No envy as one side there is a high wall so can't see the garden and at the end of a terrace so no garden other side ........... and although we do very little to our garden it is quite pretty! smile

Do you have any secrets that no-one in your life knows about?

Mollygo Sat 26-Jun-21 10:30:09

Sadly the last one I wrote was to a Uni friend who has just lost his wife. They didn’t do email, so letters have been the norm.

Do you ever suffer from plant envy? I’m just looking at my neighbour’s borders and they look so much better than mine.

FannyCornforth Sat 26-Jun-21 05:46:36

'Morning all.
I sleep oddly. Sometimes I'm awake for hours, usually before 12 and 1.
When I worked I'd be awake all hours fretting about work stuff.

Billy Bob - I don't think Four in a Bed is staged at all! Why do you think that? I'm intrigued! (I must have watched every single episode at least twice)

Do you still write letters?
What was the last one that you wrote?

BBbevan Sat 26-Jun-21 01:54:37

Won I don,t. Never very keen on fake anything although I do have silk flowers in winter.

Do you sleep well?. As you can see from the timing of this, I don't

hollysteers Sat 26-Jun-21 01:18:12

I’m a ping meal myself (with a healthy salad or veg) as now widowed and alone, can’t be a***d cooking unless family come to stay.

Do you own any fake expensive designer labels?

biglouis Fri 25-Jun-21 22:28:26

Unfortunately Ive never seen it!

Do you ever cook meals from scratch? I used to do a lot of cooking when I was younger but I can no longer be bothered so its the micro wave for me.

Billybob4491 Fri 25-Jun-21 18:30:02

I will answer it Savvy, I am enjoying every minute of Euro 2020 and try to watch all matches. Its Wales turn tomorrow.

Do you think the TV programme Four in a Bed is staged and well rehearsed beforehand?

Savvy Fri 25-Jun-21 18:19:39

I've sold quite a bit on both ebay and gumtree, but won't be using ebay again now they insist on you giving them your bank details prior to listing anything.

Is anyone going to answer the question I asked the other day, are you bored with the media coverage of the Euro 2020 yet?

biglouis Fri 25-Jun-21 15:25:28

I have no interest in tennis or most other sports. Sorry!

Have you ever sold anything on Ebay, Gumtree or similar?

Mollygo Fri 25-Jun-21 14:22:32

Knock, knock!
Who’s there?
Sonia
Sonia who?
Sonia shoe, and it smells really bad!
(Sort of clean.)

Are you ready for Wimbledon?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 25-Jun-21 08:59:24

I woke up at 6 this morning, emptied the old bladder and went back to bed.

Tamsin Grieg has a lovely voice, for blokes David Coverdale.

What's your favourite (childish and clean) Knock knock joke?

FannyCornforth Fri 25-Jun-21 06:07:53

Tawny Owls! ?
It's one of the things that I bang on about at any opportunity.
I've also had rats and a grass snake.
When I worked in primary we had stick insects and giant African snails.

Who do you think has a nice speaking voice?

Lollin Fri 25-Jun-21 06:04:11

No just the usual pets. Boring reply but there you go.

What time did you wake up this morning?

biglouis Fri 25-Jun-21 01:51:09

No, just carried on as normal. It hasnt affected me that much as Im in my 70s.

Have you ever had an unusual pet (not a cat, dog, fish or bird). I had a large iguana once.

BBbevan Thu 24-Jun-21 18:43:47

My father I think in character. My mother in looks..

Have you done anything really special during the pandemic?

hollysteers Thu 24-Jun-21 14:40:49

Sandy/beige colour with large cushions with check design. The design seems fashionable at the mo, but I’m going to turn them round when I get fed up with the check.

Would you say you take after your father or mother?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 24-Jun-21 13:22:11

No, my bladder wakes me up at 6 each morning and most of the time it's very reliable. Sadly I hardly ever hear birdsong as I don't wear my hearing aids to bed and I'm in an urban area - I'm more likely to hear traffic.

What colour is your sofa, or would you prefer to call it a settee?

Puzzler61 Thu 24-Jun-21 12:35:17

Only with my children, and once I took my work boss. Not needed to, thankfully, for me.

Are you finding the birds are waking you up stupidly early this month?

biglouis Thu 24-Jun-21 12:12:44

Yes - I went as Morticia from the Adams family. At the time I had long black hair.

Have you ever had to go to an A&E?
