Hello Again!?
Third thread here - too early for a Summer Time Special; especially considering the current weather ?️☔

Okay, here goes:
Who is your favourite comedian, and your least favourite?

Mollygo Sun 13-Jun-21 10:21:55

Back garden. Lovely for looking out on, but not so interesting as when we had one that faced the street.

Do you like liquorice?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 13-Jun-21 10:10:50

Issue - do you have an 'issue' with such and such? What's wrong with the proper word 'problem'?

Does your kitchen face the back garden or the street?

FannyCornforth Sun 13-Jun-21 07:22:39

Type - romance; thriller; historical; biography etc
If used in music - pop; rock; classical; blues etc
You can use the term 'genre' in relation to any form of art, or even genre of art! So yes, it just means type or form.
You can also have 'sub-genres'

Which word really gets on your nerves?

DanniRae Sun 13-Jun-21 07:13:36

Anything by Rosamunde Pilcher because she is my favourite author - not sure what genre her books are as not sure what genre means confused

What does genre mean?

Mollygo Sun 13-Jun-21 02:15:36

Last night 7 hours. Tonight isn’t looking so promising.

What genre of books are you reading at the moment?

crazyH Sun 13-Jun-21 00:11:19

No

How many hours unbroken sleep do you get at night?

biglouis Sat 12-Jun-21 23:58:29

No - I am a three minute shower kinda person, in and out as quickly as possible nowadays. But I used to sing with the hairbrush in front of the bathroom mirror when I was younger.

If you were having a lie down (not feeling good) and someone knocked would you get up and answer the door?

crazyH Sat 12-Jun-21 22:47:14

Yes - piano

Do you sing in the shower?

Mattsmum2 Sat 12-Jun-21 21:12:06

Yes, mostly. The tragic events in the Denmark game were difficult to see, just so glad he’s awake and stable.

Have you ever played a musical instrument?

Puzzler61 Sat 12-Jun-21 21:08:19

PS NotAGran enjoy your day tomorrow and the Christmas pud ?

Puzzler61 Sat 12-Jun-21 21:07:06

No not really although I like to know my meat is UK reared.

Will you be watching all/most of the European Championship Football on TV?

NotAGran55 Sat 12-Jun-21 21:00:26

Forgot the question.

Are you a foodie?

NotAGran55 Sat 12-Jun-21 20:59:15

Shopping for our family gathering tomorrow in my sister’s beautiful garden The first time all together since December 25th 2019 . Christmas Pudding is on the menu.

Billybob4491 Sat 12-Jun-21 18:12:31

Me - a chicken salad

What did you enjoy most about your day today?

crazyH Sat 12-Jun-21 17:29:27

M&S Paella, followed by M&S Tarte au Citron.

Who is having a salad this evening ?

travelsafar Sat 12-Jun-21 17:24:36

Defo my mum.

What are you having for dinner tonight on this hot summer day?

hollysteers Sat 12-Jun-21 13:29:59

A house for my daughter.

Who meant the most to you when you were a child?

Savvy Sat 12-Jun-21 11:41:01

No, I don't use apps, but I have got the card they gave me when I had the jabs.

If you won the lottery, whats the first thing you'd do or buy?

FannyCornforth Sat 12-Jun-21 10:33:13

I've got a bees nest in my laurel.
And housemartins are nesting above my bedroom window. It's lovely hearing them chattering away.

Have you downloaded the NHS App to use as proof of vaccination? (It's my current source of annoyance)

Juliet27 Sat 12-Jun-21 10:18:20

I will definitely watch. I love the pageantry but feel sorry for them in this heat.

Have you had any nests in your garden?

travelsafar Sat 12-Jun-21 10:05:14

Waiting for my sister to pop round to sit in the garden for coffee. I also have fresh strawberries and paspberries instead of cke incase she wants a snack. Tomorrow hoping to see my son and his family.

Will you be watching the trooping of The Colour for the Queen?

BBbevan Sat 12-Jun-21 09:31:16

No I have my mother’s original post war string bag. It holds a lot.

Any plans for this nice warm weekend?

Mollygo Sat 12-Jun-21 08:38:20

Dauphinoise -yummy or Jackets.

Do you carry one of those little collapsible shopping bags in your handbag for unexpected shopping?

FannyCornforth Sat 12-Jun-21 08:05:07

Yes. Usually because I've been incredibly stressed, so probably ill anyway. Ive never pulled a sickie just for the fun of it

Favourite way to eat potatoes?

biglouis Fri 11-Jun-21 23:24:41

I dont go for walks now because Im mobility impaired. When I was more mobile Ive walked for miles in snow.

Have you ever "taken a sickie" from work when you were not genuinely ill?
