Only once and a girlfriend and I just bunked off at lunchtime and went to the shops because we had free periods all afternoon.

Do you make jam/marmalade ?

No, but I was sent to get the detention book for asking a very silly question in a Biology lesson. Happily the book wasn't where it should be and I was told to sit down and behave! I did!!

Did you ever play truant from school?

My very first teacher, Mrs. Howse. We thought her name was Mrs. House, and that's what we called her! She was so kind and motherly, all the children loved her. I loved going to school every day to spend time in her class.

Were you ever sent to the school Head for misbehaving, if so, why?

I would probably go back to early seventies when I had my three children at age 24 and raise them with the wisdom and maturity that I have now.

Who was your favourite teacher at primary school, and why?

No, but we have a local Chinese takeaway that we use far too regularly.

If you could turn the clock back, what age would you stop at?

Not exactly childhood but a bear from sixty years ago. Love it.

Do you have a favourite 'local' restaurant you visit regularly?

My Aloe Vera is still going strong but I mustn't speak too soon. I recently killed a spider plant - that's meant to be impossible.

Do you have any teddy bears or dolls from your childhood?

Yes thankyou WI meet ups and a lunch where I have made a new friend. Exercise classes starting next week, playing golf with new ladies and meals out in restaurants.
Q. Do you have any houseplants if so which would you recommend?

Oh much better. We only have constant rain!

Is your social life picking up now that lockdown is easing?

We had booked to see André Rieu as part of a holiday. I’ve no idea when it if we’ll ever do that.

In some ways yes, in others no.

We have Nutcracker booked for 2022 - postponed because of covid. Have you a similar booking?

I've never met a flower that I didn't like.
I'll say anemone (actually, I cant say anemone) because of their fluffy black centres, and the contrast with their jewel colours. Understated drama and a Victorian vibe. Beautiful.

Oh so many books to choose from but will go with Heidi ( close tie with Little Women or Mallory Towers books )

Macavity the Mystery Cat, simply because I can recite it.
I'm a bit of a heathen when it comes to poetry, it has to rhyme.
I like poems written for children.

Yes, rose hip oil for my face.

Best book ever. Le Chant de Bernadette. I’ve reread it several times and I’m now listening to an audio version whilst I work.
