Welcome to the Fourth Thread, Questioners and Answerers!

Are you feeling Autumnal?

hollysteers Sat 13-Nov-21 01:41:07

Cherry. I like Greek and the larger pots, but living alone now, the small pots suit me better.

Do you know someone who greets the whole community when they go out?

BBbevan Fri 12-Nov-21 17:59:55

No mantelpiece but wide window ledges. Lumps of slate, sea glass, pebbles, small bits of driftwood and a large articulated wooden hand .

What sort of yogurt do you like ? I always have Greek

Mollygo Fri 12-Nov-21 17:15:35

An immediate roofer! (And a break in the rain so he could do his job.)

How many things on your mantelpiece if you have a mantelpiece or on your window ledge perhaps?

AGAA4 Fri 12-Nov-21 17:12:43

Not at all. My GS is a fan but I don't understand it or want to.

If you could wish for something right now what would it be?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Fri 12-Nov-21 15:11:58

I rarely dream but have had some weird ones. I enjoyed watching 'The Cleaner' with Greg Davies (a secret fancy) and this obviously awakened some, er, desire in me but I cannot remember for the life of me what happened.

Do you like/understand cricket?

DanniRae Fri 12-Nov-21 09:45:10

That's very kind of you Fanny and I love the flowers smile

FannyCornforth Fri 12-Nov-21 07:57:42

Oh no Danni I hope that you feel much better soon thanks

DanniRae Fri 12-Nov-21 07:51:09

DanniRae

No. My friend used to be my hairdresser too, now I am going to go elsewhere as she is refusing to be vaccinated sad

My hair is far too long - see above - and I am getting it cut tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting it done
smile

Are you looking forward to anything?

An update:
Just about to leave for my hair appointment and I got a migraine - I have eye disturbances with migraine so had to cancel. I was very disappointed!

I don’t really do ‘big celebrations’ at anytime.

What was the last dream that you had that you can remember?

Mollygo Thu 11-Nov-21 18:16:13

Yes for my parents’ diamond anniversary. They knew we were going over for a meal to celebrate, but not that we’d invited widespread family to a hall for the celebration. They were delighted.

Did you miss any big celebrations, birthday or anniversary because of lockdown?

ginny Thu 11-Nov-21 17:10:13

Yes as a child.
Prefer a caravan these days.

Have you ever thrown a surprise party for anyone ?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 11-Nov-21 15:16:06

No, I just can't see the appeal of sliding down a hill.

Have you ever been camping?

AGAA4 Thu 11-Nov-21 13:46:42

Ireland 1957..

Have you ever been skiing?

hollysteers Thu 11-Nov-21 13:30:59

I suppose I could if I put my mind to it, but I’m not practically minded and lack patience.

You are transported to the location of the place in the last book you read. Where are you?
(Rue de Rivoli, Paris)

AGAA4 Thu 11-Nov-21 13:27:16

I do like gardening but don't have one now.

Can you do your own DIY?

Ali08 Thu 11-Nov-21 12:19:08

I'm sorry, henetha, that bang to the head obviously affected me more than I thought!

Ali08 Thu 11-Nov-21 12:18:11

Obviously too much laughing as I totally missed the end of the thread....so sorry, everyone!!

We don't have space for a drier, and very little space outside. If the weather is fine, we put the airer outside with items on, otherwise it's indoors and actually dries quite quickly.

So, do you like to garden, or are you the 'lady of the manor' watching others do it for you?

henetha Thu 11-Nov-21 12:16:46

Yes, but do you hang washing out or prefer a tumble dryer??

Ali08 Thu 11-Nov-21 12:12:22

Gosh, I can't stop laughing.

When I was pregnant with my DS, who is now 29, I was rushing upstairs one day, the kind that turn to face the other way halfway up. Well, I fell and obviously put my hands down to protect my bump not giving a thought to where my head was headed (sorry, couldn't resist). Well luckily, tho it was a main wall it wasn't very hard on the inside of the house and my head made a rather large hole in it.
So off we toddled next day to buy some filler. My dad had been a builder and I'd picked up some tips, so I filled and plastered the hole. I said to OH, "DO NOT touch, prod, poke even TOUCH until at least 24 hours has gone by!!"
I ended up teaching him how to fill holes because he came to me about 2 hours later to tell me it wasn't set yet!! He was so lucky I couldn't run fast, as he took one look at my face and bolted!

Do you like to garden, or would you be the 'lady of the manor' watching others do it for you?

henetha Thu 11-Nov-21 12:05:21

I like Yours magazine. I suscribe so it's delivered.
And countryside ones, abouts birds etc.

Do you hang washing out or do you prefer a tumble dryer?

BBbevan Thu 11-Nov-21 06:53:44

Exactly Fanny. Why is that?. I could get through 2or 3 books a week . Now …..nothing.

I can flick through a magazine though. Do you buy them and if so do you have a favourite?. I quite like ‘Landscape’

FannyCornforth Thu 11-Nov-21 05:48:06

I faff about on my iPhone far too much. I’m another one who isn’t reading enough. I used to be a voracious reader. I’m ashamed to be honest

Are you ashamed of something similar?

hollysteers Thu 11-Nov-21 01:48:22

I deliberately do not open the door if I am in a state of deshabille.

Are you addicted to your IPad?
(I am and not reading as many books as I used to)

biglouis Thu 11-Nov-21 00:48:58

I used to have a very god singing voice but have now learned not to inflict my "performances" on others and I avoid parties.

Have you ever deliberately not opened the door to someone because you didnt want to talk to them?

Yesterday I sat watching my whingeing NDN on my "ring" type doorbell camera because I just couldnt be bothered with her. She looked so cross not to get a response.

NotAGran55 Wed 10-Nov-21 15:54:49

Whilst walking upstairs carrying a glass of water I tripped a couple of steps from the top ……I lunged forward trying to steady myself with one hand on a small table at the top of the stairs…..the table flipped forwards dumping the contents of a vase of flowers on me, whilst the glass of water went flying out of the other hand!

Do you have any party tricks?
