Welcome to the Fourth Thread, Questioners and Answerers!

Are you feeling Autumnal?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 10-Nov-21 15:36:42

Picking up the small timer in the kitchen. It flew out of my hand and jumped into a freshly made cup of tea which splashed everywhere - all over the worktop, down the drawer fronts and up the wall. I dismantled it and there was even tea inside and so it was done for. I got a nicer replacement in the shape of an apple.

Same question as I can't be the only clumsy twit on here.

AGAA4 Wed 10-Nov-21 14:39:55

I am looking forward to seeing my little grandson soon.

Do you have little accidents like the one I had today when a viscous twig jumped up and hit my leg. Big twig like bruise there now.

DanniRae Wed 10-Nov-21 14:14:40

No. My friend used to be my hairdresser too, now I am going to go elsewhere as she is refusing to be vaccinated sad

My hair is far too long - see above - and I am getting it cut tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting it done
smile

Are you looking forward to anything?

Billybob4491 Wed 10-Nov-21 13:48:25

Just a few pairs less than you Grandmattie, but I usually just stick to my favourite ones.

Are you comfortable mixing with unvaccinated friends? re Covid

grandMattie Wed 10-Nov-21 11:38:00

Dreadful - people shouldn't have them if they can't control them. They should also accept that not everyone is a dog lover!!!

How many pairs of earrings do you have? (I have about 150)

AGAA4 Wed 10-Nov-21 11:33:35

I do now. After my kitchen flooded in my new house and I had to get a neighbour to help I made certain I know where it is now.

Do you find out of control dogs annoying? I was almost knocked over by one this morning when he ran up behind me and jumped up. Owner's fault not the dog's.

henetha Wed 10-Nov-21 10:33:09

I've never really given any thought to having a spirit animal.
But it would have to be a bird I think. A sea eagle maybe.

Do you know how to turn the water off in your house?
It's quite a good idea to know this, as I discovered one day.

FannyCornforth Wed 10-Nov-21 10:29:06

On the roof, not in it

FannyCornforth Wed 10-Nov-21 10:28:33

No! DH was a builder, he would be up in anyone’s roof at the drop of a hat. It used to worry me sick.

What is your spirit animal?

Mollygo Wed 10-Nov-21 10:14:18

A Porsche-unfortunately I didn’t own it, just won a day in it in a competition. My favourite owned car was a Nova.
Now I love cars that are high enough to get in and out of.

Have you ever needed/tried to get a roofer in bad weather?

hollysteers Wed 10-Nov-21 09:20:43

No, never.

If you drive, what is your favourite out if the cars you have owned?
Citroen 2CV

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 09-Nov-21 16:59:26

Yes, I feel old when I hear the dreadful racket that is modern music and my hip creaks.

Did you ever forge a parent's signature in your homework book at school? We did - and got away with it.

AGAA4 Tue 09-Nov-21 15:31:21

I am quite happy on my own too.

Do you feel old some days?

crazyH Tue 09-Nov-21 14:04:08

It was hard at first (H left me for someone else). I was not short of company because my friends rallied round and I still had my youngest at home. Nights were awful.
But strangely enough, after all these years, I do enjoy my own company. Today I have enforced solitude, due to the fact, I’m not feeling too good after my Covid jab yesterday. And it’s bliss ?

BBbevan Tue 09-Nov-21 13:44:37

I do wear layers. Thermal vest when very cold.

Are you happy on your own or do you crave company?

biglouis Tue 09-Nov-21 12:25:15

I have no idea who she is!

Are you into wearing layers or do you keep the house warm?

I am arthritic so I have to keep warm. I would rather economise on something else than heating.

hollysteers Tue 09-Nov-21 10:07:57

I used to, but live alone now and make do as it were, unless I have visitors when it seems a huge faff.

Do you think Meghan DOS is a good speaker!

grandMattie Mon 08-Nov-21 17:05:55

Probably but never tested. I can sing.

Do you like cooking?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 08-Nov-21 15:50:06

No, I'm not keen on them although they look nice.

Have you any musical ability?

AGAA4 Mon 08-Nov-21 15:41:17

Apologies! I've gone a bit awry. Story of my day.

I like detective novels too.

Do you have an open fire or log burner?

AGAA4 Mon 08-Nov-21 15:38:26

Semi skimmed.

Do you have an open fire or log burner?

BBbevan Mon 08-Nov-21 13:10:03

Yes thermal vest and tights if it is very cold.

What is your favourite genre of books? . I like detective novels

henetha Mon 08-Nov-21 10:19:20

No. My winter pillow cases are flannelette.

Do you wear extra undies in winter? Vests or whatever?

hollysteers Mon 08-Nov-21 10:00:20

I looked after stick insects from school in the long summer break.

Have you tried sleeping on a silk pillow?

biglouis Mon 08-Nov-21 03:54:32

I dont really use milk as such as I buy the coffe sachets from Tesco. Probably skimmed if I did.

Have you ever looked after an exotic pet like a snake for someone?

Ive looked after a snake, lizards, terrapins and tortoises.
