Welcome to the Fourth Thread, Questioners and Answerers!

Are you feeling Autumnal?

TillyTrotter Sun 28-Nov-21 14:26:57

Do you have a question DanniRae ?

DanniRae Sun 28-Nov-21 14:26:47

Question:

Is your Christmas generally as good as you hope it will be?

DanniRae Sun 28-Nov-21 14:25:37

I have two freezers - an upright attached to a fridge and a smallish chest freezer. Never very full until Christmas time and then I am very grateful for both of them as we have a full house for a couple of days over Christmas. (My eldest daughter does most of the cooking then)

henetha Sun 28-Nov-21 10:40:33

I bought some tinsel and lights yesterday, but whether I find the energy or enthusiasm to put them up is anyone's guess.

My freezer is too full to put any Christmas food in at the moment. My freezer is often too full. Is yours?

crazyH Sun 28-Nov-21 10:30:29

Oh yes - mostly bright, even in the winter.

Have you put your Xmas decorations? As I live on my own, it’s all become too much of an effort. So just a small self-lit Xmas tree and a star on the window - and a wreath on the door .

Shinamae Sun 28-Nov-21 09:51:11

Lundy island!

Do you wear bright clothes? (I don’t, I have a very sombre wardrobe!)

Juliet27 Sun 28-Nov-21 08:39:49

I have a rescue dog who is a perfect companion, a canary which had escaped from somewhere 12 years ago (we couldn’t find the owner) and a tortoise (hibernating in a fridge)!

What’s the remotest place you've travelled?

nanna8 Sun 28-Nov-21 05:50:18

Sunny and perfect here for once so have been weeding.

Do you have any pets ? We have just adopted 2 Calico kittens from the cat protection society. They are gorgeous.

BBbevan Sun 28-Nov-21 04:17:23

Planner definitely.

Cold again today. Will you go for a walk if the sun comes out. ?

ninathenana Sat 27-Nov-21 23:09:04

No, not something I've ever thought about.

Are you a "planner" or a last minute buyer

crazyH Sat 27-Nov-21 20:10:17

Oh yes - as soon as Stollen arrives in the shops , I’m there. I even freeze a couple of ‘blocks.’

Do you long for christmases past, when you were a little girl, when you were the centre of your parents’ universe and you did not have a care in the world ?

Mollygo Sat 27-Nov-21 17:51:07

Sorry -question:
I made and froze mince pies-then we had several visitors!
Do you eat your Christmas food before Christmas?

Mollygo Sat 27-Nov-21 17:49:21

Yes, but so does my pup, especially the zips. I’m currently sorting some new ones, with Velcro fastenings.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sat 27-Nov-21 16:00:59

I have a natter with my neighbours if I see them out and about, we regularly chat about this and that but we don't go out together.

Do you like cushions?

NotAGran55 Sat 27-Nov-21 15:36:00

Never! I don’t keep still long enough.

Do you socialise with neighbours?
We do at the village pub one Friday evening a month.

henetha Sat 27-Nov-21 15:20:21

If there are more restrictions, due probably to this new variant, I will definitely comply. As will all of us I hope. But I must admit my heart sinks at the thought of it.

Do you nod off in the daytime?

biglouis Sat 27-Nov-21 14:30:05

I dont observe Christmas being non Chriastian. However my nephew is coming around for a meal the day after boxing day. This is how we usually roll.

If there is a lockdown or restrictions will you comply or carry on with your usual plans?

I have obeyed the rules so far but only because it suited me and I rarely socialise anyway. I feel sorry for people who set great store by the holiday to see it ruined again.

AGAA4 Sat 27-Nov-21 13:09:36

No. We have had warnings here on Wales and it is still very blustery. I was hit on the head last year by some flying object. I had a padded hood so not much damage but I am wary of going out
when it is very windy.

Do you have your Christmas arrangements sorted?

BBbevan Sat 27-Nov-21 12:56:54

Only a hysterectomy when I was 35. Otherwise, touch wood, not even a broken bone .

Dreadfully windy here today. I had to go to the post box and nearly got blown off my feet. Have you been out today ?

Juliet27 Sat 27-Nov-21 12:04:49

Yes I do but they’re certainly not impressive. The only false things about me are my hips!!

Have you had any operations?

hollysteers Fri 26-Nov-21 23:09:34

I can’t watch tv during the daytime, it depresses me unless it’s a royal wedding or funeral. I really look forward to it in the evening..

Do you have your own nails, eyelashes and eyebrows?

BBbevan Fri 26-Nov-21 18:45:15

Yes. I just wish most people didn’t say “Oh Wow” when seeing their finished possessions. Other than that I really admire the skills of all the artisans. I don’t watch it religiously but we have it on .

What is your favourite afternoon tv programme , or do you not watch tv then ?

Mollygo Fri 26-Nov-21 17:06:09

Sorry, crossed post with Billybob4491
Yes I do worry at night. Usually about my children and grandchikdren! Always something!

Same question as before.

Mollygo Fri 26-Nov-21 17:03:56

Yes. When we lived in Liverpool, one neighbour knocked frequently and if I answered the door, would trot in and sit down, passing comment about whatever I was doing-cooking, ironing, childcare or whatever.
I decided I could cope once or twice a week, and not answer the rest of the time. Her comment? “You’re always out. I’m surprised you have time to do your housework!

Do you watch the Repair Shop?

Billybob4491 Fri 26-Nov-21 17:03:20

I usually answer the door but look through the spyhole first, but I do not open the door at night.

Do you lie awake at night worrying about anything in particular?
