Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

Mollygo Sun 19-Dec-21 17:16:10

Grapefruit-could have been worse. I have just made mackerel pâté.

Fog, snow or rain? Which is your worst driving weather, whether you drive or not?

biglouis Sun 19-Dec-21 17:20:47

Mince pie!

Are you planning to see any older relatives and will you still go ahead if there are restrictions?

In my case I AM the older relative (triple jabbed) and will still be seeing my 2 nephews (but no others because they live too far away)

BBbevan Sun 19-Dec-21 18:46:43

Just likebiglouis I am the older relative.
DS and family should be coming. Lots of testing and open windows, so should be alright.

Just watching ELO on sky arts. Those were the days.
Do you ,or did you before COVID, go to huge concerts.?

biglouis Mon 20-Dec-21 10:58:43

I went to large concerts in school and the opera and theatre when I was younger. As I have got older I have developed a dislike of being in a large crowd. It makes me feel stifled.

Did you mostly play indoors or outdoors as a child?

I played mostly outdoors with a gang of other kids. Mostly street games. But there was very little traffic then (1950s) as there were few private cars.

henetha Mon 20-Dec-21 11:07:23

I played outdoors a lot. We had a small park nearby and all local kids used to congregate there and play our games
like "Please Jack, may we cross the water". And skipping and hopscotch etc. There were trees around the park which we used to climb regularly.

Willl you wear a Christmas jumper this year? I've got a black one with a giant sparkly holly sprig on the front.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 20-Dec-21 11:07:35

I hate driving through snow Mollygo I fear and dread it.

We played a great deal out in the street.

Do you know where the stopcock is?

Dingbat1920 Mon 20-Dec-21 11:08:48

Yes, and it’s completely unreachable!

£10 to spend in boots on anything you like what would you choose?

hollysteers Mon 20-Dec-21 11:36:34

Good hair shampoo.

In bed do you have bedsocks, electric blanket or hot water bottle?
(Sometimes for me, all three?)

Mollygo Mon 20-Dec-21 11:40:32

Socks! Our bathroom floor is tiled and I can’t find my slippers in the dark.

How often do you clean your gutters?

BBbevan Mon 20-Dec-21 14:49:27

I never do. DH does I presume ?

If you lived by the sea, how often do you think you would go there?

Mollygo Mon 20-Dec-21 16:42:03

We live about 30 mins from the sea. I can see it from my bedroom and we go there at least once a week, more in summer.
Our dog loves to rush into the water however cold it is so I’d rather not take her too often in winter.

Tomorrow is the shortest day. Will you be glad when evenings start getting lighter again?

DanniRae Mon 20-Dec-21 17:03:14

Oh Yes!! Can't wait grin

DanniRae Mon 20-Dec-21 17:05:17

crazyH Mon 20-Dec-21 17:11:36

My favourite time to shop for groceries is 10pm - I can go in my PJs if I want to, but I don’t, but many do . What is your usual shopping time ?

ginny Mon 20-Dec-21 17:19:40

I hate it at any time.

Have you ever made any gingerbread people or houses ?
I have a date with 5 year old DGS to do just that tomorrow.

BBbevan Mon 20-Dec-21 17:20:49

As early as possible. However have done most on line for a while.

There is an enormous empty Christmas stocking at the end of your bed. Money, distance etc no object. What would you hope for?
I am NOT mentioning mine.

hollysteers Tue 21-Dec-21 00:40:18

Money to buy my daughter a house. She’s in a tiny rented studio flat.

Favourite Christmas films?

Are you cutting back on going out before Christmas?

FannyCornforth Tue 21-Dec-21 11:26:07

Haven’t been out for two years!

Do you have a favourite soap opera? I haven’t watched one for decades but loved Coronation Street and Brookside in the 80s

Aldom Tue 21-Dec-21 11:53:04

I used to enjoy Casually and Holby City, but haven't watched either for about 11 years. What are you hoping to do on Christmas day?

Aldom Tue 21-Dec-21 11:53:35

Drrr! Casualty!!

hollysteers Wed 22-Dec-21 00:09:42

Quiet day with DD and DS, all mucking in for meal, probably followed by Who wants to be a Millionaire and University Challenge as we try to outwit each other.

You can only choose one, lipstick or mascara?
