Hello again and Merry Christmas Questioners and Answerers!?

Not ‘what is the best present that you have received?’, instead;

What is the best present that you have given?
Are you a good gifter?

(I’m going to have to think about it, but I do think that I’m rather good at choosing presents)

henetha Mon 03-Jan-22 11:01:46

The north of Scotland. And Toronto in Canada.
The southernmost was Australia.

I covid goes away and you had pots of money, where would you most like to go?

AGAA4 Mon 03-Jan-22 11:15:18

I would like to explore more of Canada.

Do you try to go out every day?

ginny Mon 03-Jan-22 11:42:34

Yes, even if it’s just a stroll around the garden and along the street. I always feel the need to get some fresh air.

How do you like your coffee ?
I like it fairly strong but milky.

BBbevan Mon 03-Jan-22 14:17:36

Strong but we never have instant. We have discovered coffee bags and no.6 makes a good rich brew.

Do you like herbal teas?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 03-Jan-22 14:26:56

I've tried herbal teas but I prefer my usual - weak ordinary tea with lots of milk.

Do you enjoy a liquer?

biglouis Mon 03-Jan-22 15:57:48

Yes, I enjoy the odd Baileys. Tia Maria and Amoretto.

If you could retire to anywhere in the world, no expense spared, which one would it be?

I would like to live on a private island with no neighbours and everything airlifted in.

AGAA4 Mon 03-Jan-22 16:25:36

Private island sounds idyllic to me but I would probably go for a small house with plenty of land near to my children and grandchildren.

Have you ever flown in a helicopter?

Mollygo Mon 03-Jan-22 20:36:52

Yes-I won it in an auction of promises.

Would you go in a hang glider or micro lite? Or do you know someone who has?

Shinamae Mon 03-Jan-22 20:44:23

Most definitely emphatically not!!

More or less on the same subject would you bungee jump? I think you can guess my answer to that ?‍♀️?‍♀️

Aldom Mon 03-Jan-22 20:45:52

Years ago my god-daughter's grandmother by marriage celebrated her 80th birthday by hang gliding!!
If you could have an architect designed house, no expense spared, what sort of house would you choose?

hollysteers Mon 03-Jan-22 21:00:15

Georgian style.

Do you feel more relaxed about the covid situation these days?

Mollygo Mon 03-Jan-22 21:31:52

Re Covid, yes and no. Yes because we are vaccinated and boosted, we wear masks in shops and crowded places. Work has done everything it can to keep us safe, but I’m grateful for thermal underwear.
No because local cafe now has unmasked staff with or without lanyards, whom I have seen wiping their noses on the back of their hands as they serve drinks and cakes. I haven’t been back since the first time, but I had to turn down a meet up with friends.

If you have leather furniture, what do you like to use to clean/protect it?

hollysteers Tue 04-Jan-22 10:12:21

I don’t have leather furniture but have leather seats on antique dining room chairs. I’m afraid they have been neglected and could do with some TLC.

Which city would you like to have been born and grown up in?
(Paris)

BBbevan Tue 04-Jan-22 10:18:13

I spent a great deal of time in St. Albans when I was young, so would have liked to have lived there.

We have rooks building a nest quite near us. It is quite magical to watch.
Do you like watching the birds?

DanniRae Tue 04-Jan-22 10:49:34

I feed the birds that come to my garden - mainly sparrows. They also have a dish of water in which they bathe and drink. I love to watch them splashing about in the water and I am always amazed that they drink this water - I guess sparrows aren't as fussy as us humans? confused

What birds come to your garden?

AGAA4 Tue 04-Jan-22 10:49:48

Yes. I like to see them and love to hear them singing. Such a cheerful sound.

Do you like to hear church bells? I live near a church and it rings out the time. Some people don't want to hear the bells but I quite like them.

henetha Tue 04-Jan-22 10:53:15

Yes, I'm surrounded by large trees with many rooks living in them. Also lots of garden birds. I love watching them and put food out every day.
I'v also got a pet bird, Wiggy. She's free range.

I would love a cat, but worry about it hunting birds. Do you have a cat and does it catch birds/mice etc.?
(I can't get a cat while I've still got Wiggy)

henetha Tue 04-Jan-22 10:54:41

Sorry. Crossed post.

Yes, I love church bells, but can only hear them in the far distance if the wind is in the right direction.

Same question about do you have a cat which catches birds.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 04-Jan-22 12:35:27

I've had three cats over the years, only one of them hunted - when DH told him off he looked abashed and we never caught him at it again. The others were too slow or laid back to bother.

Do you try to go out for a walk each day?

AGAA4 Tue 04-Jan-22 15:10:40

Yes. If I don't go out I feel lethargic and a bit down.

Which is your favourite month of the year? Mine is September.
