NotAGran55 Sat 25-Dec-21 07:14:18

I’m tired ?. Awake since 0430, wishing the rest of the household would wake up!

Grandpajo Fri 24-Dec-21 22:33:59

That was a good day

hollysteers Fri 24-Dec-21 11:01:41

Don’t really want another shopping trip, but am out of Xmas crackers and a few other vital things, TOILET ROLL.
Will brace myself.

DanniRae Fri 24-Dec-21 10:30:55

Sounds like an air lock Oops - if it is you can fix it yourself ...look on Youtube. Good Luck!

Oopsadaisy1 Thu 23-Dec-21 14:48:34

Well my hot tap in the kitchen refuses to let any water out today and the electric loo upstairs sounds as though it’s chewing a piece of Lego.
So a plumber and a Saniflo technician will have to be booked , but I really can’t be bothered to do it this week.
And I’ve just remembered that I forgot to get a repeat prescription which is a pain.

Millie22 Thu 23-Dec-21 14:05:21

It's scary how much these things can cost. It'll have to wait until January but I don't like wasting any water.

MissAdventure Thu 23-Dec-21 11:38:27

I don't think it's a massive amount, even if the tap needs replacing.
Then, though, comes the thoughts of buying your own taps, and which you might prefer, and then some sealant for around the sink.....

Millie22 Thu 23-Dec-21 11:36:09

The tap is still dripping ?
I'm thinking how much will a new tap and a plumber cost.

henetha Thu 23-Dec-21 09:48:09

Thinking that I hope the rain stops before I have to go out.
And I must fill the bird feeders in a minute.

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Dec-21 09:45:51

Yes, they have a snow baby as well! And a reindeer pal that I’d also forgotten about! grin

Juliet27 Thu 23-Dec-21 08:19:57

Now I’m thinking that I hope your snowman and snow lady haven’t been up to mischief in the back of your wardrobe!

Maggiemaybe Thu 23-Dec-21 08:16:58

Now I’m thinking about rescuing the two foot high snowman and snow lady from the back of my wardrobe and setting them up in the hall. I’d completely forgotten about them! shock

DanniRae Thu 23-Dec-21 07:43:37

I am thinking I hope I can 'go to the toilet' before we go out. Not been for a good few days and don't want to have to use someone else's loo. Sorry if TMI but that's exactly what I am thinking and that's what the thread is about!! grin

MissAdventure Wed 22-Dec-21 19:47:13

I have one that's just started that lark.
It's irritating, then I worry about the cost and the planet, into the bargain.
My plumbing skills are not up to dealing with the ancient plumbing here.

Millie22 Wed 22-Dec-21 19:28:05

I'm thinking I wish I didn't have a dripping tap in my kitchen.

Ali08 Wed 22-Dec-21 19:24:56

Aah, gotcha now, Grandpajo. It just seemed a bit random at the time, and I hope you didn't have long to wait!
How did the interview go?
I'm thinking you should tell your son to put a couple of blankets in his car!!
I'm also wondering why my nose itches all year round as surely it's something to do with hayfever in summer, or something like that?

Watching 'The Bishop's Wife' and thinking Cary Grant was wasted as an angel.

MissAdventure Wed 22-Dec-21 14:59:26

I can remember every christmas when I was small seemed to involve a lot of attention on the turkey.

DanniRae Wed 22-Dec-21 14:40:48

Mr R and I have just returned from our last supermarket shop before Christmas. Fridge and freezer full up and we await the hordes to arrive on Christmas Day.
Note to the 'Hope the sprouts are looking ok when I go to buy 'em' brigade - they were looking fine! Phew, what a relief. The turkey comes out of the freezer tomorrow morning and I descend into the 'Is it defrosting/not defrosting too soon/not soon enough' group shock
Now, as my dear old mum used to say when she had all the shopping in for Christmas "That's it! What we haven't got we will go without!

MissAdventure Wed 22-Dec-21 14:12:56

Enjoy your new, drawers. Ooh err, matron! smile

nadateturbe Wed 22-Dec-21 14:06:46

and it's here! smile
