I'm thinking that I'm going to stay on GN for a long time today so I can put off the task I promised myself to do today...
tidy the porch. It sure needs it.

I'm thinking it's about time I got into the shower as I've a lovely lunch meeting arranged for later which could well become afternoon tea. Action!

I am hoping the rain will stop so I don't get wet on my walk. It will be muddy again.

I have a damp specialist coming 'between 9 and 12' so I am thinking I need to get washed and dressed but I am on here. So I keep looking at the clock and thinking just 5 more minutes ....grin

I was just reading a couple of posts regarding Grandparents looking after GCs , babies , toddlers.
I wonder how many of them have taken a First Aid / CPR course?
No time to ring the parent if the baby is choking and all very well to have a hazy, thump them on the back kind of idea, but what if that doesn’t work?

Worryingly, I would think very few have even thought about it.

What a relief for your friend and you, DanniRae. Thank goodness it was a false alarm. smile

VioletSky Tue 11-Jan-22 17:24:43

I don't know DanniRae maybe she should follow up with a doctor? I got sent for an emergency test once because one of my legs was bigger than the other. I think it had been that way for a while but my doctor thought it was a blood clot.

Glad she got checked over and is OK

DanniRae Tue 11-Jan-22 12:14:57

Update regarding my friend - she came home from hospital very late last night and went back at 9 this morning for a scan - she had a suspected blood clot - happily there was no clot. So she is out and about again but confused to why her blood test indicated that she needed to go to hospital so urgently??

I have just come on here and found these caring posts regarding my friend going to A&E. I am so touched by this and thank MaggieMay VioletSky and Ali08 for caring. I got a text from her last night to say her son was with her (she is a widow) and she had 2 hours to wait to see a doctor....I have heard nothing this morning. I will post an update when I hear any more. Thanks again Gransnetters for your messages - I think you are Great!!

DanniRae

My husband has just dropped a friend off at A&E - she had a blood test today and her surgery called to say go straight to hospital. I am thinking that I hope she is ok? sad
(I can't drive otherwise I would have taken her and I did ask if she wanted me to go with her.....incase you think I am not much of a friend!)

Have you heard from your friend, DanniRae?

Ali08 Tue 11-Jan-22 00:18:49

Thinking about the woman in my stitchy group who is fed only by a tube into her stomach, every night as she lays in bed!
No bile, no indigestion, no rushing off to stick her head into the toilet bowl to rid her stomach of whatever she put in there!!
No wondering if certain foods will be good for her, or if she'll like the taste of something new....
But, although it would solve my problems (Barratts Oesophagus & a Hiatus Hernia) I just can't imagine food and drink never going into my mouth again!!!

VioletSky Mon 10-Jan-22 20:49:17

Hope everything goes OK for your friend Dannirae

Maggiemaybe Mon 10-Jan-22 20:40:24

Oh dear. I hope your friend’s okay, DanniRae.

Sunday lunch smells delicious, this chilled rose is gorgeous and my sit-down with the tv after the meal will be very welcome.

Grandpajo Sun 09-Jan-22 13:00:55

I'm thinking it's nice to see the sun after the grim day yesterday but feel mixed feelings about my oldest son leaving home for a flat share today. But think it nice to see him so happy.

I am thinking that I must change my clothes because we are going out for a Birthday Meal for our daughter's fiance and we need to leave soon smile
