Having a hot cup of coffee after my very cold walk.

Contemplating the large amount of carrot soup and the huge amount of stew which I have now succeeded in making.

Sitting with a mug of lukewarm tea about to start for the day on the task of finishing my self assessment for HMRC, but debating whether or not to go back downstairs to zap my tea in the microwave. Really kicking myself for not keeping better records ….

Trying to get the log burner to stay alight. I never know whether to push the damper in or out.

cooking bacon, I am trying to get an army of teenage boys out of bed before their parents start turning up

Having a coffee ( or two) while watching today's Jeremy Vine which I had recorded .

Trying to summon up the energy/will power to go and make carrot soup which I intended to do yesterday. I bought too many carrots.

Lying in bed reading this and roughly planning my day.

Laying in bed wondering why I can't get to sleep, also wondering if my soon-to-be 12 y/o granddaughter is still awake, too?
She had belly ache and I made her a hot water bottle, tucked her in and she asked to watch Netflix on her phone. Surely she'll be asleep now...maybe...

Sitting on bed in dressing gown trying to get rid of black background on Google search on my phone, contemplating a bath And typing on GN. and listening to Nat King Cole on Echo From my parents era, but relaxing.

Feeling tired after 4 days travelling round to see family. Lots of fun though but not doing much at all today.

Tidying up the flat and getting ready to go out to friends for lunch.

Lying in a wonderfully cosy bed listening to rain absolutely battering down in a dark grey environment. Yep, I'm in the right place.

Sat on the sofa doing this, while Wiggy flies around looking fed up. I'm wondering whether to start a diet today or leave it until the new year.
It's raining and dull but I feel like a walk. So I might go out in a minute.

Looking at Bertie at the end of the bed thinking should I take him to chilly epsom downs or leave him snuggled up nice and warm.

Reading a book with MammaMia 2 in the background. It's upbeat and I like the music!

Trying to decide which new CD to play while OH makes dinner. I got Ronan Keating, Andrea Bocelli and Francoise Hardy.

Last minute preparations just finished as I procrastinate too much. Time to sit and relax, possibly watch James Bond latest film before dinner. DD1 and both GDs arriving tomorrow is more like Christmas Day for us. ?

We had a lovely FaceTime catch up with our DD2 and SiL in Queensland when they celebrated yesterday Queenslander.
Unfortunately it was pouring down in their area and same again today. Pleased to hear you had such a lovely day. ?

Eating the first of roughly 483 turkey sandwiches to follow.
