Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

henetha Wed 15-Jun-22 09:56:05

Yes, twice a year. But I'm a devil for changing my mind.
I sometimes raid the pile of things to go to the charity shop and start wearing it again.

Do you welcome the hotter weather which is forecast for later this week? Or, like me, prefer it to stay cool?

biglouis Wed 15-Jun-22 02:14:54

Elizabeth I by Lady Anne Somerset. She fascinates me.

Do you go through your wardrobe regularly and weed out things you never wear for the charity shop?

I really do need to do this. There are things I havn't worn in years.

AGAA4 Tue 14-Jun-22 19:34:37

I usually give them to charity shops but I do have far too many.

What book are you reading now?

MrsKen33 Tue 14-Jun-22 19:14:32

Jane Eyre ( I did that book for GCE and my degree) Cider with Rosie, ( my father’s family came from that area) and The Source.
What do you do with books you don’t want?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Tue 14-Jun-22 18:44:08

I have a few too many books and some I don't want to part with, others I put on a charity shelf locally.

Are there a particular titles which you'd never part with?
Mine are Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Coming Up for Air by George Orwell.

nanna8 Tue 14-Jun-22 13:26:03

Both. I hang it out and finish it off in the dryer because in Winter it doesn’t dry here. In Summer it only takes an hour to dry.
Do you find the books in your household have bred and multiplied?
I have so many I am gradually culling them but some I can’t bear to part with.

AGAA4 Tue 14-Jun-22 13:13:23

I did go out with one once. It was enjoyable as it was more of a chat than a walk. I prefer to walk on my own so
I can go at my own pace and concentrate on the scenery.

Do you like to line dry your washing or tumble dry it?

SachaMac Tue 14-Jun-22 11:48:56

Last time I hand washed it (with help from my eldest GS) I’d normally take it to a hand car wash in the town. I hate going through those big automated cars washes with the big spinning brushes.

Ive just passed a local walking group while out with my dog, around 10 people all chatting & walking in the sunshine together. Have you ever joined one or would you rather just do your own thing.

hollysteers Tue 14-Jun-22 11:12:05

Just on holiday in the pool, which I love.

Do you hand wash your car or go through a car wash?

henetha Tue 14-Jun-22 10:25:30

Sadly, I have never owned nor wore a ball gown.

Do you still go swimming? Regularly or just on holiday?
Sea or pool?

AGAA4 Mon 13-Jun-22 20:19:31

Probably my DDs wedding six years ago. People don't seem to get dressed up now unless for a very special occasion.

Do you/did you enjoy wearing ball gowns?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 13-Jun-22 19:29:40

I've never possessed a ball gown.

When did you last get really dressed up, in a ball gown or otherwise?

MrsKen33 Mon 13-Jun-22 17:28:51

Tiny kitten heels with a ball gown once. DH is the same height as me so I usually wear flat shoes.

Do you own a ball gown ? I have three lovely ones; bought on eBay.

biglouis Mon 13-Jun-22 17:24:03

I have a huge stash of fabrics, trims and sew one from when I make patchwork and embroidery. They fill two cupboards.

Do you still wear high heels?

I havnt worn any for years and I doubt I could walk in them.

ginny Mon 13-Jun-22 17:18:45

My ‘new’ sewing machine is about 20 years old. It is used fairly regularly for craft projects and patchwork. Never for clothes.

I think there are two parts to a hobby. Doing it and buying materials for it.
Do you have a lot of craft/ hobby supplies ?

SachaMac Mon 13-Jun-22 17:11:22

I will rewatch films but rarely re-read books. There are a few I’d like to read again but I just don’t think it will happen. I have too many waiting on my shelf to be read a first time.

Have you ever owned a sewing machine & if not would you like to. As a fan of the Sewing Bee I’m getting very tempted!

hollysteers Mon 13-Jun-22 10:43:23

I can still cut my own toenails (just) but having a pedicure and manicure as going abroad this week.

Do you reread books and rewatch films? (I can’t)

henetha Mon 13-Jun-22 10:20:40

Yes, absolutely. I wouldn't expose my skin to the elements without decent moisturiser and maybe a touch of Beauty Balm. But my make up is minimal. Just a little eye shadow and mascara usually.

Can you still cut your own toe nails? Or do you regularly have a chiropodist, or a pedicure?

AGAA4 Mon 13-Jun-22 08:26:40

My nails are awful. They split so I can never get them to a decent length. I have to wear them short but would love nice nails like both of my DDs.

Do you always wear makeup when you go out? I use tinted lip gloss even just for a walk.

DanniRae Mon 13-Jun-22 07:03:56

crazyH - I do nothing to my nails until they need cutting - they grow very quickly and are very strong - then I cut them and file them into shape.

Do you bite your nails?
As a child if ever I had my nails anywhere near my mouth my mum would shout at me "Don't bite your nails!" She needn't have worried I don't recall ever having the urge to do such a thing!

crazyH Sun 12-Jun-22 18:48:50

Sorry.
Now to answer hollysteer’s question.
Yes, I like to think I will see my loved ones in the next world.

crazyH Sun 12-Jun-22 18:46:05

Do they still sell Shiphams fish paste? Haven’t seen them or had them in years, but I’m sure I’ve had them in the 70s.

Looking at my nails, the polish is chipping. How often do you do you do your nails ? ( always loved my nails )

hollysteers Sun 12-Jun-22 18:42:56

I still like fish paste spreads now! Alongside excellent pâté of course.

Do you believe we meet deceased family after we die?

MrsKen33 Sun 12-Jun-22 18:32:44

Don’t like the first one and no idea who the second one is. So neither , sorry

A friend offered me a fish paste sandwich at a Jubilee do. Haven’t had one in years. Shiphams Sardine I think it may have been.
Would you have had that as a child?

crazyH Sun 12-Jun-22 17:51:22

Sorry to disappoint, but it’s steak pie and chips for me please…..fish and chips is so bland.! My fish has got to be spiced ?

Bradley Walsh or Stephen Mulhern?
