Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

BBbevan Mon 25-Apr-22 10:51:22

Look like my mother, but I think happier and more generous than she was. Like my Dad in fact. I could never tell my mother anything but my Dad was always willing to listen.

How about your Grandparents. Do you resemble them in any way?

FannyCornforth Mon 25-Apr-22 09:38:24

Oh God, yes, I adore my dad.
We had a difficult start due to his troubled childhood, but we are now as close as can be. Probably due to our difficulties, and the young death of my mom.
I wouldn’t swap him for the world ♥️

Are you more like your mom or dad? What do you think that you have inherited from them; or how have you ‘taken after’ them?

henetha Mon 25-Apr-22 09:36:46

Absolutely not. He left when I was two weeks old.

Would you choose the same mother?

hollysteers Mon 25-Apr-22 09:32:32

The Speaker (can’t remember his name) Used to like Shirley Williams and I too like Margaret Beckett.

If you came back for another life, would you choose the father you have had in this one?

FannyCornforth Sun 24-Apr-22 12:05:32

Worry! As it usually means that DH is in hospital!
But back in normal times, I’d probably do my nails and make something for work (I used to do lots of arty things for my school)

Who is your favourite politician?
Mine is our own MP Margaret Beckett. She is retiring very soon.
I’ve met her on my doorstep a couple of times and been rather starstruck.

BBbevan Sun 24-Apr-22 11:56:14

No, I usually like silence.

Quiet day today as DH is out with son in law. What do you do if you have a day to yourself.?

hollysteers Sun 24-Apr-22 11:06:10

I’m not one to look for dangerous things, but when younger, I used to bomb up and down motorways.
The most dangerous things that happened to me were an emergency adhesion op and giving birth (eventually) to a posterior presentation baby ignored by nuns.

Do you like background music on in the house as you go about things?

Mollygo Sun 24-Apr-22 09:23:26

Disagreed with a parent, who said, “I’m going to record this parent-teacher meeting.” He was a big bloke too!

Same question again.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Sun 24-Apr-22 09:10:43

Pardon my French, but not bloody likely! I'm not going to run round the block either.

What's the most dangerous thing you've ever done?

AGAA4 Sat 23-Apr-22 16:46:30

Sometimes but usually just order the things I know I like.

Have you ever taken part in extreme sports?

Mollygo Sat 23-Apr-22 16:28:16

Mine is octopus tentacles. Served in a ‘fine food’ restaurant as a garnish for lobster bisque. The sight of all those little suckers really put me off the meal.

Do you try different foods when you’re eating out?

FannyCornforth Sat 23-Apr-22 12:18:57

I remember my friend Sharon Thompson having lots of tripe in a freezer in her parents garage.
It was for the dog. I used to see it when we were helping ourselves to ice pops (can you tell this was the 70s?)
I vividly remember that it had sort of fingers

What is the thing that you just cannot bring yourself to eat?
Mine is eggs. I think that fried is probably the worst scenario

henetha Sat 23-Apr-22 11:57:04

Not formally met, so no curtsey was needed, but I have been quite close to the Queen and Princess Anne. The Queen had lovely skin, and Princess Anne was prettier in reality than press photos show.

Do you remember tripe? (the edible sort, nothing to do with our government grin. ) Have you ever eaten it?

snowberryZ Sat 23-Apr-22 11:26:14

I've always liked the name Louise

Have you ever met a Royal?
Did you bow or curtsey to them?

hollysteers Sat 23-Apr-22 10:35:04

Steak and dauphinois potatoes followed by cherry pavlova with warm cream.

If you could choose another Christian name for yourself, what would you choose? (Sasha)

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 21-Apr-22 16:44:35

My favourite meal would be fish and chips at lunchtime, for perfection it would be at a seafood restaurant overlooking the sea.

Same question again please.

AGAA4 Thu 21-Apr-22 15:34:01

Book always.

What is your favourite meal?

Grannyeggs Thu 21-Apr-22 15:17:05

Lots of lovely blossom around. In our garden the Forsythia is still out, but the leaves just appearing, and we have a Judas tree on which the bright pink blossom comes out before the leaves.
Kindle or book, which do you prefer?

Mollygo Thu 21-Apr-22 14:57:59

An egg cooker. Used to have one as part of the toaster, but when the toaster packed up I missed it so much I paid a tenner for a six egg boiler.
Choice of boiled or poached. Choice of how well cooked the eggs are. It takes less time than it does to boil up the water and then cook the eggs and I don’t have to watch it either.

So much blossom out now. What’s it like near you?

crazyH Thu 21-Apr-22 14:46:22

Moulinex can opener/ knife sharpener. It's getting sluggish now - will need to be replaced.

What is your newest kitchen gadget ?

hollysteers Thu 21-Apr-22 14:41:40

Don’t mind entering or driving on motorways in the day, but don’t like it at night.

What is the oldest working piece of equipment in your kitchen? (Hostess trolley?)

NanKate Mon 18-Apr-22 21:32:53

Yes it is totally impossible to cut my toe nails, so Simon my lovely Podiatrist does it for me.

Are you confident driving/entering a motorway?

hollysteers Mon 18-Apr-22 21:19:37

Never diet, but am trying to take more exercise after a rather lazy winter. The weight drops off me when I am worried.

Do you find it awkward to cut your toenails and do a pedicure yourself?

AGAA4 Mon 18-Apr-22 19:18:01

Very few bus lanes here but I would probably have wandered into one unawares if there had been.

Do you ever diet? I try to cut down on high calorie foods but have given up on diets.

Mollygo Mon 18-Apr-22 08:55:08

We’re just chilling out after Covid. I’ll be chilling out after celebrations next week.

Have you ever got a fine for driving in a bus lane? The photo was our car and we were in the town when it said, but I never saw any signs for a bus lane and we were following other traffic.
