Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.

Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?

I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…

hollysteers Thu 21-Jul-22 02:17:34

I don’t knit or sew, but draw and paint my own cards.
Never heard a negative comment, so they must be acceptable!

Do you always use fabric conditioner when using your washing machine?

MrsKen33 Wed 20-Jul-22 14:42:34

That is beautiful biglouis

Like I said I knit a lot. Beginning of lockdown I knitted a jumper. It looks like it is made of porridge and could fit me and DH together.
Same question please

biglouis Wed 20-Jul-22 12:30:10

This is Indian patchwork

Beautful Wed 20-Jul-22 12:27:07

No I'm not to any unfortunately, although I keep saying to myself I need to start knitting ,will give me something to do

Have you ever knitted something for some one & it back fired, such as you heard nasty comments about it , or they gave it away & you saw someone else wearing it , if so did you comment

biglouis Wed 20-Jul-22 12:24:14

Ive never been a knitter - I find it boring to follow someone elses pattern. My grandmother taught me to do crochet and embroidery. I love to do Indian (as in Asian) patchwork because there are no "rules" and anything goes.

Do you wear makeup every time you go out or only on special occasions?

I cant remember the last time I bothered with makeup. I was recently doing out the curpboards in the bathroom and found bage of ancient makeup - some of it never used!

MrsKen33 Wed 20-Jul-22 09:57:48

LBCardigan my engagement ring was a garnet, given by DH’s grandmother. Sadly I lost it some time ago.I always look for a replacement but have never found anything similar.

Are have started knitting for the winter. We have lots of knitted throws, so a jumper for me this time.
Are you a knitter, Crocheter, or embroiderer ?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Wed 20-Jul-22 09:34:31

Garnet, I very seldom find jewellery using it without lots of fancy additions. I had a marquise shaped ring decades ago when I was a young slip of a girl and it no longer fits.

Do you still wear your engagement ring?

MrsKen33 Tue 19-Jul-22 16:00:10

I have a necklace with a silver feather on it. Not an angel feather but a Native American one. I wear it constantly.

What is your birthstone.?

biglouis Tue 19-Jul-22 13:04:16

I honestly cant recall the last time I wore a watch because the time is on my mobile if i need it. I have a vintage one which is transparent and you can see all the works.

What is your favorite piece of jewellery that you would never be without?

I seldom wear jewellery but I like big chunky Native American pieces and anything ethnic looking.

hollysteers Tue 19-Jul-22 11:00:38

Six months in Paris.

What type of watch do you wear?

Bellanonna Tue 19-Jul-22 11:00:01

First class air travel, but as I no longer fly it’s just a hypothetical answer

If you don’t still work, will you be going out in this afternoon’s predicted very high temperatures (only answer if you’re in the red zone). I definitely won’t be!

mummytummy Tue 19-Jul-22 10:08:16

Trousers, I haven’t worn a skirt in 26 years ?

If you could treat yourself to something whatever the cost, what would it be?

henetha Tue 19-Jul-22 10:00:48

No. Most of my clothes are bought in sales or from charity shops. I occasionally treat myself to something from Cotton Traders or Damart if the price is reduced.

Are you wearing trousers or skirt today? I'm in a skirt, a rare event.

AGAA4 Tue 19-Jul-22 09:55:13

I don't have a favourite and browse lots of websites. My last purchase was a dress from Cotton Traders but I would have bought one from Seasalt if they had one in my size.

Do you spend much on clothes?

MrsKen33 Tue 19-Jul-22 05:53:06

I make my own , as a reversed diabetic I can control the sugar. Love pistachio, coffee or banana. Made strawberry yesterday, but DD and DH ate it all.

What is your favourite clothes site?. Mine is Plumo or Toast. I have to wait for the sales though .

henetha Mon 18-Jul-22 23:25:56

All of them. I'm a compulsive news freak and simply have to know what's going on.

I'm buying some ice cream tomorrow. Do you eat lots in summer? Any particular sort or flavour? Do you ever make your own?

SachaMac Mon 18-Jul-22 16:01:47

Yes all the time, I feel like a grumpy old woman at times ranting about the way this country & the rest of the world seems to heading. I do worry what the future holds for our GC.

How do you catch up on politics & current affairs? Newspapers, tv, radio, mobile phone or all of them. Do you have odd days when you try to avoid the news?

AGAA4 Mon 18-Jul-22 14:54:36

Very worthy cause biglouis I would like to be able to give more to the children with cancer charities and those who are homeless.

Do you ever wish you were able to change things that are going wrong in the UK/world?

biglouis Mon 18-Jul-22 13:55:16

I too use Oil of Olay but I dont have any special routine.

If you were a millionaire what charity or charitable cause (if any) would you most like to help?

I would endow some studentships at my old uni (Manchester) aimed specifically at bright students from under privileged/disadvantaged backgrounds. I was lucky enough to be the recipient of one myself to do my Masters and Ph.D but its much more difficult for students without a "bank of mum and dad" now that loans are the thing.

lovebeigecardigans1955 Mon 18-Jul-22 12:31:58

No, I'm too mean (and not a millionaire - yet) so I buy economy skin care. I'm sure it does just as good a job. Original Oil of Olay or Ulay, whatever's it's called is good enough for me.

Do you have a favourite skin care item which you've used for years?

FannyCornforth Mon 18-Jul-22 08:30:47

In a sunny beer garden in York; whilst wearing a very slinky strappy cream maxi dress (think 90s Kate Moss); I sat on a huge blob of someone’s spilt tomato ketchup.
As I’m sure you can imagine, it looked absolutely atrocious.

Do you use posh skincare?

I recently bought some Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair (an absolute bargain on QVC) and it’s very nice.
My first ‘grown up’ skin care

biglouis Sun 17-Jul-22 15:13:22

I have a friend who is always late but Ive learned to expect and accept it!

Have you ever had a "wardrobe accident" in a workplace or public?

I was at an evening drinks reception in my workplace (a library) back in the 1970s and a city councillor spilled wine down my dress. He was dreadfully embarrassed. Less so when I re-appeared 15 minutes later in another dress! I always had at least 3/4 hanging in my locker.

Grandyma Sun 17-Jul-22 12:02:45

Try to ignore it and focus on what you like about them/their good points.

Do you have a friend or family member who you love dearly but who still annoys you? If they do why?

henetha Sun 17-Jul-22 11:20:28

Just a small salad for lunch alone today. But one of my sons is coming for dinner later and I'm doing pork chops, roast potatoes with carrots and runner beans. I must be mad!
But he doesn't like salad.

How do you deal with a good friend who on occasion can be a bit sarky and unpleasant?

FannyCornforth Sun 17-Jul-22 10:06:31

Ha ha! No! Absolutely not!
I’d wet myself, quite literally!

What’s for lunch / dinner / tea / whatever today?
