No. I have never liked shorts. I used to prefer a short skirt but keep most of my legs covered now.
Do you like wearing dresses? I haven't worn one for years but for some reason want to wear dresses now.
Book Title by Their Authors (Parlour Game)
Hello All! ? ?
I’ve tried to be more grammatically correct with the title this time.
Do you enjoy musical theatre?
??
Which is your favourite?
I love Jesus Christ Superstar; Cabaret; Oliver!; Sweeney Todd; Oklahoma
I could go on and on…
No. I have never liked shorts. I used to prefer a short skirt but keep most of my legs covered now.
Do you like wearing dresses? I haven't worn one for years but for some reason want to wear dresses now.
I've used Dove tanning lotion on my legs, and similar, on the rare occasions when my legs are on view.
Do you wear shorts in public? My knees look peculiar so I tend not to.
All of my attempts have been utterly disastrous Molly.
And it absolutely stinks on me.
I don’t tan easily either, and don’t enjoy the sun at all.
So this year I am resigned to staying pale and interesting (aka pasty)
I would recommend exfoliating first, and applying with a mitt.
The ‘best’ results I’ve had have been with San Tropez.
Anyone else?
Do you use self tanning cream? If yes , what do you recommend and how do you avoid it being streaky?
A European plug with charging slots. Trying to save packing space/weight -if we manage to avoid isolation this time.
‘Morning Ken ?
(And thank you for your lovely message on the AMA thread, it was really nice to see it)
Yes, I’m a slave to the weather forecast (the BBC hour by hour one)
Especially at the moment, in this horrendous weather.
What was the last thing you bought?
I’ve got a new sun parasol coming today, as the ‘old’ one snapped in two yesterday
biglouis like you housework is not my favourite occupation.Clean and reasonably tidy and I’m done.
Cloudy here this morning but warm. Do you check the weather forecast during the day? I always do first thing in the morning
Im never very hungry at lunch time. I just had a tuna sandwich. I had a baked potatoe for supper. This hot weather makes me not want to eat much.
Do you feel upto doing housework in this hot weather?
I dont at the best of times. But I have had to clean up the bathroom after the workmen last week. They cleaned up "sort of" but of course they never do it properly. Ive now discovered that they have filled 3 of the bins with crap and the crap is in the wrong bins! For example there are polythene and broken tiles in the cardboard and paper recycling bin. Im just going to dump a bit of cardboard on top and hope the bin people dont check too closely tomorrow. At 78 its not for me to have to sort out rubbish left by the work people.
I’m taking the experts’ advice. Close all curtains and blinds during the day and open them at night. ( I think that’s what they said) . It keeps the sun out. I’ve also got the fans on.
I haven’t felt hungry at all today - slice of toast this morning and a small salad earlier. What have you had today?
On our house hunting expedition we saw a house with a sunken garden. The owners said they often sunbathed in the nude. Not for me. I would worry that someone would come in unexpectedly so I would never have an all over tan.
How are you keeping cool in this heat?We have an amber warning here.
No I don’t tan .I go red and then that disappears!
Would you like to tan your whole body? Naturally of course. I would just love to be able to do that .
Being unable to remember my times table, the teacher humiliating me in front of the class, having to go back early in lunchtime regularly to repeat them and my father shouting at me about it, which made my number blindness even worse. My mother said she had singing rhymes for her times tables and I’m sure that would have helped me.
Are you taking advantage of the sun to tan your body at all?
I just had the bathroom redone. However it was a case of necessity as there were plumbing problems with the bath and it had not been modernised since I moved in 20 years ago! The bath needed replacing so it was time to do the entire room.
Whats the worst experience you can remember from your school days?
Mine was being blamed for something I didnt do (another child's word was taken above mine) and it altered my entire personality and made me a lot more worldly wise.
I try not to worry about future fuel bills as I can do nothing about them - I'm hoping that my new plug-in heated blanket will keep me cosy.
Have you invested in anything lately for future pleasure or comfort?
I would probably divide it between my ACs as I think/hope I will manage with the rising costs. Luckily no heating required just
now!
Do you have concerns about fuel prices this coming winter?
I loved the pop star Del Shannon (best known for Runaway) and used to follow him all over the country when he came on tour. I even had my photo taken with him one time.
If £1000 suddenly dropped into your lap now what would you spend it on? Treat yourself/family or pay a bill?
Id put it off my fuel bill so less to worry about this winter.
Same question again, please
Eric Stewart from 10cc was gorgeous back in the day ....... and I only discovered this recently when I watched a video on Youtube of the band singing "I'm Not in Love"
I have no idea what he looks like now!
Sorry - I forgot my question.
Shall we continue the teenage heart throb theme?
Who was yours? ♥️
I will have to Google him Ken!
Weirdly, no one sprung to mind initially.
I know that Adam Ant made me aware that I was heterosexual (before I knew what anything like that meant). I must have been 9.
And I had a right stupid thing when I was 12 for a bloke called Paul King.
He was the lead singer with King who had a bit with Love and Pride, which is actually a banger! I heard it in R2 the other day, and it still sounds great.
He came from Coventry; and I got it into my head that if I actually went to Coventry for the day, I would bump into him
Eric Fleming….. he played Gil Favor in Rawhide
So who was yours?
I’ve got three fans, including a ceiling one in my bedroom.
It gets incredibly warm; and at the moment post-op it’s the most comfortable place for me to be (in bed) so it’s a bit annoying.
Re scrimping - I don’t know yet. It hasn’t really hit.
Money is the one thing that I’m lucky not to worry about (yet)
Who was your teenage pin up?
Yes I do - hence, I had a ceiling fan put in - well worth it - though not too sure how expensive it is to run - I probably will faint when I see the electric bill ?
Do we really have to skimp and save at our age ?
