I rushed to cover the mirror
..I might see the local sheep-shrarer,
Or worse - cause a fire
As that would be dire

A little note: When I was a little girl, my mother used to cover all the mirrors in the house, when there was a thunderstorm - (we had a lot during the Monsoons) apparently, a lightning strike on a mirror would cause a fire….urban myth?
