Hello! ?

By my reckoning, this thread will see us through until we are near to C********!

SachaMac’s question was ‘if you could travel back to any time or place for one day, where / when would it be’?

I’m still mulling it over…

henetha Fri 21-Oct-22 09:46:42

We need one, I think. (GE)

Are you ticklish? I am, unbearably!

DanniRae Fri 21-Oct-22 08:26:51

Sorry! ...... Same question please hmm

DanniRae Fri 21-Oct-22 08:25:55

Bl**dy chaotic MESS!!

MrsKen33 Thu 20-Oct-22 17:55:00

General Election soon.

How do others feel?

FannyCornforth Thu 20-Oct-22 17:42:05

I used to wear one when walking the kids in my watch into town.
I would not chose to walk in the darkness, so probably not

How do you feel today about the political situation?
Three words

Mollygo Thu 20-Oct-22 17:31:35

I use fleece lined tights. My Nan used legwarmers when she was sitting and knitting. She said warm ankles meant a warm body.

I’ve got a fluorescent yellow waterproof for walking the dog in winter and at night. Would you wear one?

crazyH Thu 20-Oct-22 17:27:50

No, didn’t have a fur muff- but my fashion statement is ‘leg warmers’. I still use them, under my trousers if it’s a very cold day. Do you use leg warmers or Damart underwear in Winter?

MrsKen33 Thu 20-Oct-22 15:49:26

Nearly always just hands in pockets Though I do possess gloves.

I had a fur muff when I was about 5. I loved it and it did keep my hands warm. Anyone else have such a fashion statement?

lovebeigecardigans1955 Thu 20-Oct-22 15:39:14

I do love hats but possess only two.

Mittens or gloves?

hollysteers Thu 20-Oct-22 13:40:41

Yes, sometimes I take too much on, morning and afternoon stuff, come home, fall asleep in a chair and can’t make the effort to go out again in the evening.

Are you a hat person?

henetha Thu 20-Oct-22 12:19:51

Typo...don't make IT

henetha Thu 20-Oct-22 12:19:17

I've tried systems but always fail to keep to them so I've given up now

Do you ever plan to go out somewhere but just don't make I. To tired or whatever. Not if you are meeting someone if course as that would be bad manners, but on your own?

biglouis Thu 20-Oct-22 11:56:08

Ive done a number of tests because I suspected that I have some autistic tendencies. I like routine, tend to plan everything and HATE to be interrupted. I dislike change for the mere sake of it.

Do you have a system for organizing jobs in the house you dont really want to do?

My system is to put them off for as long as possible!

MrsKen33 Thu 20-Oct-22 08:47:48

Yes, I have Synesthesia. Monday is blue, Tuesday yellow etc. I also have difficulty with pattern so most of my clothes are plain ish.

Anyone else ?

FannyCornforth Thu 20-Oct-22 06:31:36

We did, but they weren’t really a ‘thing’, we only really used them at Sports Day, which I avoided like the plague.
The were named after hills in the West Midlands.
I was in Wenlock; we always came last, much to my delight.

Do you have any type of SEN or something similar?
I realised when I was doing teacher training that I definitely have dyscalculia. It explained a lot

biglouis Thu 20-Oct-22 02:37:18

Except for the sport (which I hated) I loved school and was sorry to leave. I always got on with most teachers.

Did you have competing "houses" or teams in your school?

We had 4 competing houses in ours and I loved the competitions (except for the sporty ones)

hollysteers Wed 19-Oct-22 17:42:51

I like film noir, 40s and 50s films.

Did you love or loathe school?

biglouis Wed 19-Oct-22 17:38:26

I belong to the costume society. I also belong to BADA (British Association of Antique Dealers) and a couple of American associations for the study of antique and vintage jewellery.

At my age I no longer feel obliged to bother!

Have you ever spent time in hospital (except for childbirth)?

I had a D&C in my 20s and that was it!
