All our furniture is modern. The oldest thing is the dining table, which is perhaps 15 years old.

The town my DD lives in. I have been there so often that I know it well.

Do you enjoy picnics? I used to like them but find sitting on a blanket uncomfortable and then there's the wasps.

No, not something I do. Used to be a regular years ago but circumstances and realising that belief in God was not compulsory changed that.

What is everyone else doing ?

My daughter and her partner bought a house at 20 and she moved out...They married at 25 and had their daughter when they were 29...Still happily married and are now 41

Son left at 20 and moved in with his girlfriend...Came back home at 22 as they split up..Moved out at 24 met a lovely girl and got married at 30...They to are still together...

What said you get up to today.

I used to give my sons a couple of pounds (as did my mum, bless her) each Saturday. I'd take them to the shops, and round the market too. They used to buy little toys or a book, then I'd treat them to a drink and a cake in a cafe.

How old were your children when they left home?

I used to love them when I was a kid. There was a social aspect to doing them with friends/family and sorting out all the pieces into colours etc. I cant see the point in them now. What do you do with them when they are finished?

Did you ever learn to play a musical instrument?

The best I ever managed was 3 chords on a guitar and a dreadful noise on a recorder when I was in school. My father could pick up almost any musical instrument and play it!

We used to spend hours skipping, either French skipping with some old elastic or skipping with a long length of old washing line with two people turning it. In winter I enjoyed playing dominoes with my grandad.

Do you enjoy doing jigsaws. Ive just picked a couple 1000 piece ones up in the charity shop.

Yes we walk a lot. We are very near the sea so it is always a pleasant walk.

What games did you like playing as a child.? I particularly enjoyed hop scotch, two balls and whip and top? There that’s ‘aged me !

Not often but funerals always make you think in that way.

Do you enjoy walking? I always feel a bit restless if I haven't had a walk.

Went to a dear friend’s funeral yesterday. Feeling quite low. Mortality has hit me. Do you often think of how the end is going to be ? (Sorry for such a morbid question)

Used to be more adventurous and was impulsive after a few drinks. Practically teetotal now. Not physically adventurous, but wrote to a very famous classical singer and she took me on.

Many years ago DH and I sold a tandem and an old cycling friend came round to buy it. I'd think twice about placing an ad these days as I too am cautious about having random strangers in the house.

Are you adventurous? What's the most impulsive thing you've ever done? Did you regret it?

I dont have any kids. However if I did I would make them do chores in exchange for pocket money as my sister and I were required to. I would do this regardless of how wealthy I was. It teaches the value of money and work ethics.

Have you ever had someone come to your home in response to an ad you placed in the paper or on freecycle etc?

Ive been getting red of a lot of stuff free lately but I always make sure my nephew is here as I dont like random strangers coming to my home. Plus he can help with the lifting!

I am at the moment as I have had eczema on my legs for ages and can't shave. I wear trousers so nobody sees the hairiness.

Do you have lots of good intentions to do things that you never get round to?

I try to, but I’m not keen. Usually kiwi fruit or something with yoghurt in the morning. My DD bought me a nutribullet and I make smoothies so do it that way. I do enjoy salads though.

Are you still hairy?
I hardly shave my legs etc these days.

I do eat meat but not every day - and if I have a burger or a pie it will be a veggie version.

Do you eat fruit every day? I do but Mr R rarely does.

And my question above. I read an article in a magazine that said over 70% of people never actively wash their legs in the shower. I thought that interesting.

Do you lean towards vegetarian or are you strictly a carnivore?

Odd question . I wash my hair in the shower every morning, and wash all of my body parts (although I struggle to do my back).

Do you prefer pyjamas, nightie or something else, to sleep in?
