I look for common interests as I'm creative and it gives us a starting point for something to talk about. A generous spirit and a sense of humour, kindness and understanding.

What qualities do you look for in a friend?

I like the repair shop because it involves antiques and anything where stuff is recycled. I got a bit bored with the sewing bee.

I do like Interior Design Masters and Glow Up. Of course these programs are for entertainment not reality.

Have you ever re-cycled anything or made something from scrap?

I used to make lampshades and collages from shards of broken glass and I cut up old clothes to use for patchwork. My grandmother taught me how to make rag rugs which used to be really popular. Ive always been very handy with my hands.

Yes we do. For quite a lot. But they are very unusual and specific to us so If I wrote them down someone might well recognise them and therefore me.

Yes, we have room for both our cars on the drive. Can’t get them in the garage.

My family call mini Yorkshire’s , Pork pies, and we have Tuna cake ( Tunis) at Christmas . Dumplings gs are clouds. This , since. our DDs gave them the wrong name years ago.

Damp underfoot but not foggy.

Do you have off road parking?

I do have a garage (full of junk) and a drive with lockable gates but no car as I dont drive. One of my neighbours asked if they could use my drive. I told them I might consider renting it to them for a commercial rate. Never heard back.

We get lots of blackbirds, blue tits and robins in the garden but out on the field mainly crows, and a few gulls, there are a lot more buzzards around here now too.

Is it foggy in your neck of the woods today, it’s quite bad here and very damp?

We are semi rural and we have a great deal of wildlife birds included. We put small amounts of food out for the birds but have to be careful as too much incourages rats.

What birds dominate your area.? Seagulls and ravens for us.

Also daffodils and crocuses. Some small daffodils like Tete a Tete.

Do you feed the birds? Can you watch them from the house? Do squirrels come and steal the food?

An enclosed garden with a private space for my photography and lockable gates which are only opened by appointment.

Do you have any bulbs in your garden?

I have daffodills and crocuses.

If I look up I can see a factory building above the fence with a few tall trees and shrubs which I planted a few years back. I prefer to focus on the flower borders which at the moment have a few snowdrops and helebores which look rather more cheerful.

Yes we often went to the lido or seaside trips. My mum and her friend with 3 children each used to have a lot of fun.

What is the view from your window?

Yes my uncle had a caravan on the south Wales coast. Gas lighting, Elsan toilets, miles to walk for water, but the sea very near and sand dunes. Absolutely magical. But all gone now. Just rows of green park homes and mown grass.

Did you go on day trips as a child?

No - the only holiday home I stayed in was as a young child in a remote Welsh village. There was nothing for kids to do there and they even closed the swing park on sundays!

Have you ever had a caravan holiday?

We always used to go when I was a child but by my teens I had got tired of the lack of privacy and being on top of one another. I never went again after age 16/

Yes, we had a fabulous meal in Northern France at a restaurant overlooking the sea. It wasn't expensive and there was a bonus course which we weren't expecting. In fact, we enjoyed many good meals in what looked like very modest establishments.

Have you ever stayed in a holiday home either here or abroad and thought that you would like to live there?

Feels like I’m copying, but we were in Portugal too. Beautiful balcony restaurant with views over the sea and fresh fish and seafood, well cooked and nicely presented. (The desserts were good too.)

I was in Portugal with all my family. We had a table in a restaurant overlooking the sea. The fresh fish I had was the best I have had.

On a family holiday in Majorca they took me out for a special meal as it was my birthday. I ordered lobster but when it arrived it was nothing like lobster, but some smaller crustacean which tasted nothing like lobster and was hugely disappointing.

Have you had a wonderful, memorable meal abroad at any time ?

I dont do cooking nowadays as I have little interest in it. I would probably buy something nice from M%S and have it delivered.

Have you ever really fancied a restaurant menu item but when you got it you were disappointed?

This happened to me in Venice where the portions were so tiny!

As we couldn’t all get together at Christmas due to various illnesses I think I’d get recommended caterers in to do a nice buffet and invite all my close family around. I don't mind entertaining but it would make a nice change and we could all just sit and chat, play a few games with the GC and enjoy the food.

Have you got a signature dish or something you would cook & take as a contribution to a friends or family party?

I would love an indulgent Steam train scenic trip with DH, and a hot lunch onboard too. Proper white tablecloths affair.
We have done this in our county but it would nice to do somewhere new.

My favorite desert is apple and butterscotch pie.
