Hello!👋
Welcome to the new thread 😊

Julie Walters is playing the part of me (or Helena Bonham Carter, if I’m having a very good day) and Juliette Greco is playing MrsKen.

Which actress is playing the part of you?

Lomo123 Thu 09-Mar-23 21:03:23

Clinique Aromatics Elixir, all time favourite. Tried others but always go back to Aromatics. Any favourite clothes that you always go back to?.

SachaMac Thu 09-Mar-23 20:43:21

Yes I love perfume, I wear it every day even if I’m not going anywhere.

Have you got a favourite perfume you go back to or do you keep trying new ones?

NotAGran55 Thu 09-Mar-23 19:31:18

Yes I always have painted nails in my autumn colours. Corals, rust, brick red etc.

Do you like perfume? I do and wear it every day.

henetha Thu 09-Mar-23 19:09:11

Oh, question...
My finger nails are nude pink at the moment. Do you paint your finger and/or toe nails?

henetha Thu 09-Mar-23 19:07:52

I watch BBC Breakfast from 8-8.30 every morning. Can't stand the ITV one.

MrsKen33 Thu 09-Mar-23 18:01:37

Well we had visitors so we had to really.

Do you watch breakfast television? And which if any is your favourite ?

biglouis Thu 09-Mar-23 16:03:27

Im in south Manchester and no I have not been outside in it. We had a powdering of snow this morning but its melted away now.

Have you turned the heating up? I have.

SachaMac Thu 09-Mar-23 13:11:19

I’m going to Ireland in May and the Isle of White and Spain in the summer.

If it’s snowing where you are today have you been out in it? I’ve cancelled an appointment as the roads here are really bad & I really don’t want to risk pranging my car. I’ll take my dog out out for a walk and that’s it?

AGAA4 Thu 09-Mar-23 11:55:42

Not yet but looking out the window at 6 inches of snow I would love to go somewhere warm.

Same question please. I will probably be envious though.

nanna8 Wed 08-Mar-23 22:23:26

Sometimes but Mr.Google tends to be an alarmist with worst case scenarios.

Have you got any holidays planned ?
We plan to go to the Kimberleys in May but this is our 3 rd attempt, hope it actually happens this time ! Covid stopped the other 2.

I've also seen a few dead ones, but on one ONE occasion actually saw a live one - I used to do community care work and one lady used to leave food outside for badgers, and this one happened to be there at the time (it was huge).

Do you Google your health conditions/symptoms? (I do, I like to know what I'm facing)

SachaMac Wed 08-Mar-23 18:09:55

Only if I had no choice, it’s very hilly around here which makes it very hazardous when it’s icy. Luckily I’m retired so don’t have to get to work in bad weather.

I saw a beautiful badger lying dead at the side of the road this afternoon, so sad, made me realise I’ve never actually seen a live badger in the wild. Have you?

AGAA4 Wed 08-Mar-23 15:55:49

Not yet but I might if the snow carries on much longer.

Would you drive in snow and ice? I used to have to but I won't now unless essential.

HowVeryDareYou2 Wed 08-Mar-23 15:47:13

I wouldn't be able to watch and do nothing. I'd have that cat in my house and keep it (but then I adore cats anyway). Cats should never have milk, by the way.

Have you had any plans cancelled due to the weather warnings? (I have sad)

crazyH Wed 08-Mar-23 13:29:36

I have been asked

crazyH Wed 08-Mar-23 13:28:53

Yes, a friend, who lived at the other end of our culdesac passed away last year. Her husband is obviously devastated and spends most of his time in the local pub. But their pet cat is totally lost. I stand by my bedroom window and watch it walking from house to house, sitting in their garden for a little while and then moving on, until she reaches my garden bench and curls herself on the cushion, for hours on end. I have asked not to feed her or give her a saucer of milk. But I talk to her, because she seems so sad ..
My minds gone blank, so same question please ….

MrsKen33 Wed 08-Mar-23 12:12:12

We had a lot of snow very early this morning but it has all but gone now. It is still bitterly cold though.

Just been watching rooks ganging up on a buzzard, which has now flown away.
Would you sit and watch something similar?

AGAA4 Wed 08-Mar-23 11:42:33

Yes I enjoy a bowl of porridge especially on these chilly winter days.

Have you got snow where you are? Just a few flurries here so far.

henetha Wed 08-Mar-23 11:15:49

Yes, I actually cancelled plans with my granddaughter which involved walking along a cold seafront with her new dog.
It's truly horrible here today, but we do desperately need rain so I'm trying to be grateful. And I was going to the car wash but have abandoned that idea too.

So I think I will make porridge. Do you eat porridge?

biglouis Wed 08-Mar-23 09:32:59

I have never really visited Scotland apart from a quick visit to Edinburgh for an academic conference. I would like to have spent more time there.

Has the arrival of the sudden cold weather altered your plans for outdoors for the next few days?

I have abandoned any plans for a photo shoot this week.

MrsKen33 Wed 08-Mar-23 03:03:57

Yes I do. I also broadcast seeds from fox gloves, poppies etc.
Always plant nasturtiums and marigolds around the vegetable plots.

Are there any parts of the UK you have never visited and would like to? I would like to visit the Orkneys.

crazyH Tue 07-Mar-23 23:26:16

Same question 👆

crazyH Tue 07-Mar-23 23:25:39

No - I don’t have green fingers

SachaMac Tue 07-Mar-23 22:57:14

Cream roses for me, I also love dog daisies.

Do you ever grow flowers or bedding plants from seed?
