Story - One Sentence at a Time 📚

Mrs Bates suddenly stopped her giggling as realised that she had her new guests to look after,
‘Norman!’, she cried
‘Put the oven on gas mark 5 and stick those mince pies in!’

It was her last laugh🤣

Mrs Bates decided on a bath and sank beneath the pink , frothy bubbles .
Sod you , stingy Norman , she thought pouring the entire bottle of strawberry shower gel into the hot water and laughed outrageously ...

‘Afterwards’, called Norman, ‘and don’t use my strawberry shower gel’.

“Will that be before or after I’ve had my shower” asked Mother.

"Now we can have a wonderfull dinner!"

More cherry brandy , asked Norman smiling like a reptile as he noticed that Enid was almost unconscious and he looked across at Mason , who was already out cold having drunk a lot of whisky ...
Neither of them heard Norman say , " not much longer , mother - two of them this time ."

Oh! Then don't leave them standing at the door Norman, invite them in.

“No, it’s not Amazon, Mother, it’s two weary travellers who have seen our sign”.

Norman, the thin pale man looked very unsure, but continued to stare at the cat

Just the amazon delivery guy said Mason!

Before she could answer she heard someone calling out "whose that at the door Norman"?

I wondered if he had skipping or strangling in mind.

But then, holding one end of the rope in the long waxy fingers of one hand, the man pointed towards the floor with the other, and slowly intoned
‘Is this yooouur cat, young lady?’

Enid looked up at the dark Gothic house on the top of the hill silhouetted against the sky

" Can I help you ? ", said the strange voice belonging to a very thin , pale man with vacant eyes .

The door creaked open slowly...no sign of life...

The sign on the gate said ‘Bates Motel’, so they hammered on the door knocker.

Thank heavens, though, the brakes did actually work; and Enid and Mason decided to get out of Noddy’s car (they both felt that it was going nowhere, in more ways than one); and instead to set off, on foot, towards the distant glowing lights.

“You’ve got to be kidding”,said Mason reaching over and tugging at the handbrake - a big mistake because

"No, the brakes dont work"

And those big ears looked like a potential receptacle.
No! Mason told himself! That’s gross!
“Please could you stop the car”, he shouted

Mason was feeling very queasy!!!🤮

Part, parp went the little red and yellow car as Mason and Enid squashed next to Noddy and Big Ears .
