Story - One Sentence at a Time 📚

“Forget the cat, why are you wearing my dress, I can’t believe you went out and bought the same one after I had shown you it on my phone?” demanded Enid.

It’s claws were long and sharp

For another, it had a wide grin on its face (think Cheshire Cat)

For one thing, its paws were larger than any domestic moggy's.

But there was something not quite right about the cat, something sinister almost feral, that made her very nervous.

Looks just like the Tiger who came to tea said Enid with a big grin.

“Do you know who this cat belongs to, Enid?” he asked.

It was her boss, Mason, still wearing the identical dress and carrying a large ginger cat.

She fumbled in her bag for her mobile and started to call various friends for help when a man appeared out of the fog.

Enid had had too many Cherry brandies; she had argued with her best friend (who then refused to give her a lift home); her feet were terribly sore from her new (and slightly too small) heels; she had missed the last bus home; and now she realised that she had taken a wrong turn, ‘Oh crumbs’, she thought, panicking, ‘^I’m lost^!’

But the dress wasn't the only disaster tonight, and now she was on her own in the storm.

Her boss had been wearing an identical dress 👗

In fact, it had been a disaster from start to finish.
