Cont'd from Jul 21....

It’s going to be one those days
Whizzing by in a blur or haze

The Olympics are fun this year
UK doing well so I hear
I'm a USA fan
But we do what we can
The fun is now over, I fear

A hedgehog was crossing the road

Summer brings memories so sweet
Childhood beach, sand, shells, sea and swim
The winner got a bag of brazils
Which produced many squeals of thrills
Always seemed to be sun and heat.

Those Hippy days and flower power
Always in search of a lover
Does seem romantic
Laid back, not frantic
In my hair I will now wear a flower

Summer brings memories so sweet

My lawn has turned into a meadow
''Oh no!'' I screamed in a falsetto
Love dandelions
For salads and wines
Sounds Hippy and a bit retro

The sun came out for a bit
I sat in the garden to knit
Then I saw a black cloud
My protest was loud
I just could not get over it

The weather this summer is awful
Water butts never been more full
It's raining again
Send some to us, then
Are you sure that would be lawful?

My laptop is showing its age
It takes ages to load just one page
So, time for replacement?
I’m quite complacent
Though its cost is my whole weekly wage
