If I am spending too long puzzling over Wordle I look at “Tom’s Guide” (Today’s Wordle Hints and answer). It gives some clues eg how many vowels and whether there are any repeated letters. In a further section there are more clues eg the starting letter, and finally, the answer! I find myself unable to move on from an unsolved puzzle, to do anything useful. If I have used clues I don’t usually post my result.
I’m useless at cryptic crosswords and Sudoku but will always give a Codeword a go. If I am stuck on that and , therefore, ‘wasting time’, I will try to look at the answers for an extra letter (or 2!). I am a sad case, I know.
