Only then will I head off home
And sort out my wet hair with a comb
I'll try a new style
With which I'll beguile
Everyone wherever I roam

I'll charm everybody I meet

I woke with my feet rather wet
And sensibly no sign of pet
I said a rud word
Which I'm sure the cat said
He'll be hiding somewhere, I bet

But come feeding time he'll appear

I like to reflect and to think
At the end of the day , with a drink
The cat on my lap
We both have a nap
But forgot the hot tap in the sink

I woke with my feet rather wet

A friend of mine climbed Everest
Wearing warm clothes was the cleverest
She got to the top
Back down she did pop
There is no one like her for zest.

I like to reflect and to think

Airline tickets are now out of sight
I'll travel by train overnight
The first stop's Paree
Then time by the sea
The Med is so blue and bright

A friend of mine climbed Everest

A wanderlust I can't control
It's lodged there deep in my soul
I love foreign climes
I can't count the times
I found a new traveling goal.

In my kitchen I roar and rage
The sous chef is very afraid

Where I’ll climb a coconut tree
And gaze far out to sea
Climb down, have a swim
Only me, not him
Alone at sea is where I’ll be.

A wanderlust I can’t control
