I’m confused this morning. I entered a word which was rejected as “not on the word list”. It’s definitely a word and not an improper one. I wonder how they choose what goes on the word list 🤷‍♀️

I was playing Scrabble on my iPad earlier and was told that SQUAW was unacceptable. Further research revealed that this word is offensive to the North American First Nation people.

Your post made me google my rejected word Ashcombe and it’s in the Oxford dictionary and no suggestion of it being unacceptable. I’ll not mention the word while today’s Wordle is still in progress.
