Yes, I can understand why you want to be ‘Dad’.
They are special names between special people, if that makes sense

"The gannets" always created a titter come Christmas. Sadly one " gannet " died and the remaining one has slowed down with age.

I come from Yorkshire, no longer there. A pet name for people we love is ‘ chicken’ goodness knows why ? When either of our two small GC arrive I greet them with “ Hello chicken” It causes them great amusement !

This made me laugh, we have ‘pet’ names for some relations but they don’t know!! Ones that spring to mind are ‘Frosty Knickers’ and ‘Freeloader’ you can work out why!

My daughter is my oldest kid but her real name is used more often.My youngest son hates his but even though I tell her not to she forgets.I don't want to upset her cause she seems to get comfort I suppose in these pet names.Im 54 and my wife is 51.
