I said a while ago that I seemed to be o.k.on Atorvastatin. I spoke too soon! I had deliberately not read the side effects but when I developed headaches, had nightmares, constipation and burning mouth I managed to get a telephone appointment with my g.p. I had previously had some awful side effects with Simvastatin. She asked me if I wanted to try another one and I said 'No'. She replied that my HDL is high so I am probably o.k. I really feel that I shouldn't take statins even after I have listened to and followed my doctor's advice.
I found 'Trust me I'm a Doctor' very interesting this evening and am trying to gear myself up to have more will power about my diet. I am already fairly good but should reduce the amount of meat that I eat.
I enjoy roast potatoes but use rape seed oil to cook them. I assumed that this would be o.k. Does anyone know if this is the case? I also make chips in an Actifry using a small amount of the same oil.
