Thanks for that, Mamie. I wonder why the difference.

DJ BP in France is expressed as Tricia has written. Mine is 11/6!

Hope it's not, Tricia. I think you'd be dead.
I think you mean 130/70.

I take medication to keep my BP under control and have a checkup every 3 months. It's usually 13/7, which my Dr. says is good, but what it means I have no idea.
I think you should make an appt. to ask your doctor to explain the results, then your mind will be at rest.

honeypot43 hi and welcome to GN. I'm on the PPG (Patient Participation Group) at my local GP surgery and the policy there is not to contact people if there is "No further action required". So perhaps as you haven't heard from your GP, all is well.

I haven't a clue what's normal - some days when I feel a bit "off" for no apparent reason, I think "Is this what 67 feels like?" Because I just don't know grin.

Good that your palpitations have settled.

thank you for your message, I haven't used a forum before - its really helpful. I suppose I know how to reduce BP really, get more active and lose some weight, but it seems more difficult now

Well not concerned the two things are probably unconnected. I would go and see the GP as the B/P is probably a little higher than he would like it to be but easily managed. Don't be worrying though. flowers

I am in early 70s, bit overweight but go swimming twice weekly and walk sometimes. Have had some worrying palpitations, GP gave me BP monitoring to do at home for 10 days, average BP was 152 over 92. Palpitations settled. He hasn't contacted me so I assume this is pretty normal for someone like me. I have had high BP in past and on tablets for this. Should I be concerned?
