Really pleased your operation worked so well for you and you have your hearing back, you don't realise how much we loose out on socially until it's happened to you.
Have been told about post op dizziness so a good reason to just rest up on the sofa

Mary I started to lose my hearing in my right ear when I was pregnant with my first baby and over the next ten years it deteriorated so that I could hardly at all with that ear.

I went to see am ENT consultant, who to my surprise said he thought he could help. Apparently it was caused by pregnancy hormones calcifying the stapes (stirrup) bone in my middle ear. He operated and replaced it with an implanted one and I immediately had a huge improvement in hearing.

I did have some side effects - as you often do with ear operations I was told. I got vertigo - quite badly at first which improved slowly over the next couple of years and eventually disappeared.

This was in 1983 and my little implant is still doing its job and I can hear very well.

Good luck with your op when you have it. I hope it works for you as successfully as mine has.
