I've just passed my course to be a practitioner in EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique, otherwise known as 'tapping'.
I'm wondering which alternative therapies others use? Or does anyone else indeed use EFT?

My sons previous partner was a practitioner of EFT she used me as her guinea pig and when qualified she treated my husband for his phobias sadly it didn't work for him. I thought it was interesting I wish you luck with it.

There was quite a craze for Reiki, EFT and other alternative therapies round here several years ago, it seems to have died away now though.

I did train as a Reiki practitioner but only ever used it with family and friends.

I worked with a number of alternative therapy practioners in the 90 s and was a guinea pig or tried out quite a few like EFT Reiki reflexology crystal healing I had my auras and chakras checked but unfortunately nothing happened for me they were pleasant and relaxing but nothing more I think if you truely believe something will help then it will work if you don't nothing happens People do seem to get helped by tapping I think it s just something to concentrate on taking your mind off the problem some people ping Elastic bands on their wrists too same sort of thing
If it works for you go for it, my doctor once tried to hypnotise me and although I was really open to it I went no where

Thanks everybody. I'm looking forward to seeing where it takes me. It's nice to know some of you have tried it too smile
