I had laser treatment last May,partly for AMD but also for a condition with polyps forming behind my eye. I sat in a chair with my forehead resting on a bar as you would for part of an eye test. It was no problem at all , totally painless, lasted 84 seconds and that was it. Absolutely nothing to it honestly.

Yes I have had laser irridotomies in both eyes to treat glaucoma. It was just as Luckygirl said. Sitting upright and completely painless. I was dreading the first one but it's nothing to worry about at all.

I had laser treatment to mend a torn retina. It took place with me sitting up with my forehead leaning on a support. It was painless. I just had to sit very very still!

Has anyone had this for medical reasons ? I'm not sure if it would be the same for some one who wants to stop wearing glasses.
My question is do they do this with you sitting or laying flat ? I struggle to lay flat on my back, the thought of this worries me more than the actual procedure.
